¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I think its between philly and atlanta? Milwaukee is 3rd right now LOL
thebiglebowski
I was asking about what prospects tore it up in the minors and will be the Kris Bryant of next year
catalinacaper
I hope Mallex Smith moved towards top-25, but he's not a power guy so I doubt he gets much hype. It might be a down year for big prospect call ups considering how many of the top 20 were moved up this season.
sacredheart
I think Seager will be 1 with Urias Giolito and Crawford in the top five .

stl_ben
Cardinals appear to be getting healthy and heating up right on time. Looks like we could even get 100 wins!
stl_ben
Also its really crappy that ALDS & ALCS games will be on Fox (some not all), but all NLDS & NLCS games will be on TBS. Sorry NL fans, you must have cable!

just a normal guy kevin
If their playoff opponents start 22 year old rookies and use AAA-fodder relievers, the Cardinals are going to be in good shape.
stl_ben
Crap you guys are right...the team with the best record in baseball does suck, sorry I got overly excited.
just a normal guy kevin
You do know that I was referring to the Cincinnati Reds' 22 year old rookie starters and AAA fodder relievers, right?

stl_ben
That's because they aren't playing the Cubs. Well the cardinals went 11 and 8 against the cubs this year.....so if I am any good with numbers....that looks like the Cardinals did better overall? Yes last week when we didn't have Jay, Adams, Holiday or Wainwright playing you did win the series....but they're all back now...
Stravinsky
Crap you guys are right...the team with the best record in baseball does suck, sorry I got overly excited. I'll give you something to get excited about. A pythagorean record in the second half worse than the Red Sox. Cubs took 3 of 4 from the Pirates in Pitt, and 4 of 6 from STL this past month...and they sport the best record in MLB since Aug 1. I sure hope you enjoyed that stellar first half. Yes last week when we didn't have Jay, Adams, Holiday or Wainwright playing you did win the series....but they're all back now... Is doing better "overall" more relevant than doing better in the second half of the season? The final two months? Or losing 4 out of 6 against us in September? I'm sure if Jay and Adams could replicate those first half OPS's of .576 and .656 respectively those last two Cubs series would have ended up differently! You guys had a phenomenal first half, that culminated in a stellar season record. Congrats.

abovetheearth
to have 89 wins and currently be third is a bad break. anything can happen in the last few weeks. especially in baseball. tied for 4th best record in baseball and sit third in their division. that still blows my mind. thebiglebowski
Anything can happen once the playoffs start. The Cards have won 5% more of their games than the Cubs. Obviously better to win them than lose them, but that would give me little to no confidence that my team was a lock to get to the World Series. Basically saying baseball is about just getting in and it's all a crapshoot from their. So much luck involved in whether a ball is a high popout or a grand slam.
