BuzzersonKillwell
Yup. Ideal size is probably 5'6 ~130 for just about any grandstand seat. Loge is a little better.

Guest
such an odd time to make that announcement... during the jimmy fund and on the day farrell begins chemo.
thebiglebowski
He'll be running everything in no time. He did the same thing in Detroit with Randy Smith. It's kinda funny he smartly chose to deal Porcello and now he has to deal with that dumpster fire again. Fenway was cool. It really feels like it's 100 years old. Grandstand seats weren't comfortable but the space wasn't too bad (I'm 6 foot). Probably helped that I had empty seats to both sides so I could stretch laterally a little. catalinacaper
I hope for your sake Ry that Dombrowski's name drop of Frank Wren for GM does not come to fruition.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
okay, maybe not, I thought they had a lot more older players than they do. they just have a lot of players who have been around for a long time that makes it seem like they're old as fuck. sacredheart
Losing Cole hurt, but there was such an upside to trading him with that massive prospect haul we got back. Losing Utley is a punch to the stomach, we arent going to get any real talent back, but we are losing the heart and soul of our team for the past 10 years. This one hurts, I always hoped he spent his whole career with us.
catalinacaper
Utley to the Dodgers, jesus christ, that team is TRYING to be old as fuck It's really pretty entertaining to me how rosey the Dodgers have come out with hitting acquisitions like Gonzalez and Turner and Grandal and even keeping Ethier over Kemp.. but yet how they can't seem to get any consistent success out of the arms outside of Kershaw and Grienke. Now they add Utley. I get the idea, but Kershaw and Greinke better be ready to pitch every 3rd day this October.
sacredheart
Worked for the Giants last year with one pitcher, also it worked for the Diamondbacks in 01.

You're either forgetting Schilling or Johnson because both were pretty nasty during the regular season and the playoffs.

I was hoping he'd get to come out on the field during the game and tip his cap to the crowd like when Bobby Abreu got traded.
stl_ben
Injured: Adam Wainwright (P), Matt Adams (1B), John Jay (CF), Matt Holliday (LF), Randal Grichuk (RF) and still in first place? I really expect them to fall apart at any moment, but happy they aren't.

It's really not fair how the Giants and Cardinals seem to be able to call up any prospect at any time and get instant production.
sacredheart
You're either forgetting Schilling or Johnson because both were pretty nasty during the regular season and the playoffs. I meant that the Giants did it with one, and the Dbacks did it with two, as the original post said the dodgers need more than 2 pitchers, I didnt make it too clear though. catalinacaper
Mike fiers no hitter, god i miss him, when hes on, he is so on. That cutter to Turner for the last out was beautiful. I know he has a little kick step deception in his delivery but it's refreshing to see a guy throw a no hitter with a 90 mph four seamer. catalinacaper
Iiii kknnnnoooowwwwwwww Crazy his only cg is a no hitter Well considering his pitch count that was the only way he was finishing the game. Makes it all the more impressive tho, working a lot of deep counts.
catalinacaper
Wrigley Field is such a joke today. Anything hit >300 ft in the air between the left field pole and center is gone.

catalinacaper
Did I mention how much of a joke Wrigley is right now? Every Cubs starting position player has hit a home run this series. Almost every one opposite field (where the wind is blowing out >15 mph) and barely out of the park.
