100resolutions
how about Emery, 6-0 on this amazing comeback.very glad for him I'm not that surprised. he's a good goalie but it seems like nothing was going well for him in the last two years with the injuries and everything. mcm1610
He's not really a good goalie. He can flash and dazzle for a while, but eventually he'll collapse again.

mcm1610
Yea, remember when Ottawa was an amazing team, but Emery was the goalie? Didn't work out well for them. Then remember when Philly was an amazing team with an amazing defense, but Emery was the goalie, and it didn't work out for them? He's really far from a good goalie. AHL all-star, NHL back-up. sharkie
Emery really didn't fall apart under pressure in Philly, he got injured.
mcm1610
And then what happened? They just decided to ship him off to Russia? He was absolutely propped up by a world-class defense, and that takes a lot for me to say, because I HATE Philly.

He was absolutely propped up by a world-class defense, and that takes a lot for me to say, because I HATE Philly. Flyers didn't ship him off to Russia, they brought him back to the states, he looked pretty damn good, and then got hurt.. Flyers had only signed him to a one year deal, so he was a FA after the season end.

Snaggle Von Swift
nothing like falling hard at the end of the season, blowing first place, leaving quite a possibility of finishing fourth, and playing Tampa Bay.. who the Flyers match up horrible against. mcm1610
I would love nothing more than to watch Philly go out first round. Like I said before, I have a borderline-irrational hatred for that team.
Snaggle Von Swift
and now VS. is reporting that Leighton will play Friday night against the Sabres.. bizarre.
shenanigans
and now VS. is reporting that Leighton will play Friday night against the Sabres.. bizarre. laviolette has not been happy with the goaltending of late. there are rumors that leighton's back still isn't right but he wants to give him a shot. Can't hurt to have that extra pressure on all the goalies. hopefully it will make them play harder
Snaggle Von Swift
well, I mean, it's a given that the goaltending in Philly is second rate, I just don't see Leighton as any better of a goaltender. It won't happen, but I think it should be Boucher #1 for the start of the playoffs, Bob #2, and keep Leighton as 3 in case of injury. Bob is too young and inexperienced and he falls apart easily.. Boucher has the experience and has shown he can come up huge when it really counts.
mcm1610
Why the fuck can't anyone stop Carolina? If someone beats them, even in OT, Sabres are officially in the playoffs, but Chicago dropped the game for them, then Detroit rolled over. mclz
^As a Rangers fan, I would like Carolina to lose as well.
mcm1610
I'd much rather the Rangers make the playoffs than that Nascar city. I'm on your side.
