kyleevanswastaken
The shootout is retarded. It shouldn't decide NHL games especially after only 5 minutes of 4 on 4 over time.
mcm1610
Yea, even though I don't mind the shootout, the fact that it decides games is dumb. If you want a win, you should score a goal in regular play. If you can't, then what's wrong with a tie, orrr play until someone DOES score a goal. Worried about players getting tired and the risk of injury? Score a goal earlier. And such.
kyleevanswastaken
I wouldnt be bothered as much by a shootout of 5 players after a 20 minute 4 on 4 period. They should also switch sides in overtime. It would be like the 2nd period with the long change.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
OT should be longer, i do agree, but the shootout has led to more excitement in the sport, you cant deny going to a game and getting really pumped/excited when it goes to a shootout. nothing was more boring than a game ending in a tie, i am glad that is over in the NHL. mcm1610
Drew Stafford with the hatty tonight to pretty much beat the Bruins by himself. Then Miller got annoyed by Chara who nudged him in retaliation which was enough to set Gaustad off, slashing him across the wrists really hard, it was pretty sweet. I am a leaf fan, I haven't been to a game since they played in the gardens. And if I went to one I wouldn't get pumped for a shootout. Snaggle Von Swift
i'm debating just grabbing one off stubhub. ebay and craigslist would be your options for no fees.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
i cant remember how many rows there are in the top section, I think NN is the top row, but I could be wrong. $260 a seat for the top of the stadium, bust.

Snaggle Von Swift
So I'm curious, what do people outside of Atlanta think of the Thrashers this year? We've got a pretty decent team and still can't fill the building. The marketing ploy of having 4 (used to be 5) black guys on the team isn't working. this surely is not the way to try and fill the building.. http://www.examiner.com/atlanta-thrashers-in-atlanta/thrashers-stage-arrest-of-mascot-stunt-to-sell-tickets
forgeagain
Have they tried lowering ticket prices? That tends to help, though it could piss off season ticket holders.
djones0930
8 IN A ROW FOR THE FUCKIN CAPS.....SHIT Ah well, there's tonight vs the Senators. Golly gee I sure do hope they win.
100resolutions
Anybody from Boston here? I'm thinking about going to Boston in march and i really want to see a NHL game. The game on march 5th looks to be sold out and i was wondering what was the best way to purchase tickets on the web without being screw. Thanks. midatlanticmauler
I buy tickets off of stub hub for caps games and have never had a problem. Sometimes you can get them cheap, but if it's almost a sold out game they probably won't be. I know on the caps website you can buy tickets from season ticket holders slightly above what they payed. Not sure if the bruins have that but it's worth a try.
Snaggle Von Swift
yeah, I have gotten a lot of great deals on StubHub, I usually buy day of though, make plans to go, and buy tickets an hour or two before game time. The key is to get tickets with 'instant download' so you save like $14 on delivery/last minute services. I have season tickets which I sell a most of games for $10-$25 over what I pay, and then if I decide I do want to go that night, get tickets for ~$10 off stubhub. kyleevanswastaken
I went to the World Juniors exhibition game at the air canada center last night. Good time.
mcm1610
I meant to buy some tickets for some of those games, but forgot to. A bunch of my friends are working the games in various capacities, from ushering, to tickets, to ambassadors to teams, to concessions, to stats, etc.

100resolutions
There was only 3100 fans at the Isles game last night against the Habs with the blizzard. It was weird as hell!
