matt
this question took on a whole new meaning after i was evacuated this past weekend from the nearby fire. i pulled the most random records from my shelf before leaving. i still feel a little silly i took a little time doing this. just went through the crate to see what i actually took. the fact i took gaslight, lawrence arms, brand new, and death cab blows my mind. mind you i had like 15 minutes to get the fuck out. stallsstanding
I'd 100% carry my Sink or Swim on Black in one hand and my hardrive in the other.

patron
I think my collection is still small enough that I could fit the majority of it into a big cardboard box.

biggiesized
About 5 years ago, I was in that situation. I didn't take anything....I just ran back downstairs, throwing on warm clothes as fast as I could(it was the middle of November). My roommate was trying to put out the fire and was screaming at me "Dude, fuck your records, get out of the house". Luckily, I didn't lose any to smoke damage or fire. But yeah, it's one of those things that you don't know what you would do until you were in it.
timwt
Man, I don't even know. Definitely my tests, some CIS records, Through Being Cool on blue. I would take Jersey's Best Dancers, but Lifetime's self-titled would have to burn.
melikecheese
I would just grab my White Strips 7 inch box with all those singles in it and if I could grab the psychedelic section of the shelf real fast. Or at least one of the other boxes of 7" since one box is all limited, could sell them to get some money to buy records back.
flood
i'd be too worried about my dogs and cats to even think about my records honestly. and i think i'd rather have the whole collection go up than to save a few things and dwell on losing the rest . alphajerk
Haha great topic ... I actually have a vinyl flight case in which I keep my most prized / pricey records. I keep it in the closet nearest the apartment door. In event of fire, earthquake or zombie horde, I can grab these records (as well as my prized sratocaster, kept in the case in same closet) and run... nerd alert

ohnotherobot
I'd grab my hot blonde girlfriend. She's 1/1 and totally my white whale. : As for records, I like the idea of flight cases. I need to invest in some custom made ones.
translatingthename
my records are all in a trunk that i could wheel out with me so that's probably what i'd do
Guest vito
The One AM Radio collection all my Cursed, Swarm and Left For Dead records Grade Mare EP Nadja I don't even know. I have this box that I used to keep my records in before I got so many that I had to buy an expedit, it holds at least 50 LPs though, I'd definitely just fill that bad boy up. rtw88
I actually keep my 15 or so rarest records on the top shelf of my expedit so that my asshole cat can't get to him because he likes to chew on the corners of sleeves. I would probably grab those just because I know I could easily get $1000+ for them. As for the rest I'd probably just grab my favorites like American Football and Piebald and Planes Mistaken for Stars. In all honesty though, I wouldn't die if I lost any of them. None of them have any particular sentimental value to me, and all the music is replaceable.
scooterist136
Shit...I guess it would go in this order. First: Cats Second: Four Vespas Third: Records, HWM collection, HHIG collection, and then try to grab all the others as well. Cats and scooters first though!!
