I am down again. I got screwed last year but a fellow boardie went out of his way to become my new SS.

I agree on ground rules.

A few suggestions:

- Being a member since Jan. 2009 or earlier.

- Active poster

- You flake, you get banned

I'd like to participate but I've only been a member since Feb. I feel like I'm a legit dude and I've never screwed anyone on here.

I think if you either A) Have over 1,000 posts (amirite, Scott?) and/or B) Have three people that can vouch for you, then you can be excepted from the January rule.

I've got both. I'd really like to be part of this. My wife and I don't trade x-mas gifts we just do stuff for our kids so it'll one of the few things I get.

I'm down again and I meet the Jan. 2009 requirement.

They only shitty thing that I experienced last year was the person that I sent my gift never said thank you (and I did get delivery conformation) nor did they send a gift to the person they had. Other than that I got my gift and loved it.

My old job was to take names and scheduling and what not, so i'm a old hand at this.. Me and JUSTIN or HICKEY (IF HE WANTS) can moderate.

1. rather than not include new boardies, how, about pairing them up with those who did it last year that can be trusted to send, and have the new boardies send first.

also a rule.... all packages must have a confirmation #. that's a stipulation. It's 75 cents.. you should be able to afford that...

These two I like...

I feel like my child is all grown up.

I'm in. I won't have time to moderate it because of my new job and all, but I like the idea of Mike and Justin taking the helm...two very trustworthy guys. Justin did his part last year and Mike firmed up the loose ends afterward (which was an invaluable service).

I really do think there should be punishment for fucking someone over...people talk a good game now, but when it comes time to drop the ban hammer excuses will be made. I'm not saying we don't give someone a chance to make good, but they can give their reasons to one of the people running the show and if by a certain date a gift hasn't arrived, poof!!!

I also agree with the post counts and length of membership and agree that exceptions can be made if that person is vouched for (I think three members vouching for one person is a little extreme, but if one member in good standing vouches for someone that should be enough. And if that person flakes, both that member and the person who vouched for them get the axe).

I'm torn. I think the board has grown so much that a lot of people will get fucked over unless there is some legit punishment (ie. Banning or something) for flaking.

I don't meet the member length requirement but Andrew knows I am good for it, right?

I will vouch for this guy in a heart-beat. One of the best dudes I've encountered around here.
