answers
What do you guys think of the new band shirts bands are coming out with? The ones that have the print all over the shirt, like these: ALL OVER PRINT do you think they’re too flashy? Do you prefer the older, simpler designs? Personally I think they’re really cool and they look nice, but I’ve also heard other people say they’re too busy. What do you guys think? Would you wear it? darknesscomesalive
all over print, for the most part, sucks. the only remotely all over print shirt i've seen that I've ever liked is the Peace on Earth, War on Stage pre-order shirt (which I have, actually.) silentgods
i have two. one is a black dahlia murder nocturnal shirt which just looks cool and the other is a van halen tour shirt from 1993 with a bunch of swirling blobs. and it also probably the 2nd or 3rd concert i ever went to. mcm1610
I don't think I like that. I like really simple shirts for the most part.

forgeagain
Are you kidding? These things were EVERYWHERE in the early 90s. You couldn't go into Spencer's Gifts without seeing 2 or 3 different Metallica ones alone. They are incredibly silly looking.

smailtronic
Can't stand them. Much prefer simpler patterns.
rtw88
What the fuck is happening in that video? It's the stalwarts of the modern hardcore scene talking about the past, present, and future of hardcore, which apparently revolves around shirt designs and logo colors. I owned a couple of embarrassing ones as a youngster. I think I had the Nirvana "Heart Shaped Box" one with the heart print all over it. Fucking embarrassing. Also, I hate shirts that have peoples faces on them. Band members or otherwise.

controlthebleeding
I wonder what's next in shirt design for hardcore bands. Oh i know, they'll take the geek factor into it and design shirts with electronics that flash pulses of light all over their shirt. It'll be a hit with the Rave and Hardcore Crowd. I'm still waiting for these things to make a comback so i can laugh:
mcm1610
Yea, this current pop-culture style seems to just be a conglomerate of every ridiculous fashion statement made since the 1960s with a modern spin. This neon all-over-the-place shit wasn't good 20 years ago.
