Maybe they upped the price on some merch since they flipped their van? This is the first time they've pressed right? Maybe they just aren't aware of how to price vinyl yet. Who knows. You can't blame them for asking for $3 extra that goes straight to their food, paying their managers, etc. People buy a $10 t shirt for $20 at shows for the exact reason. If it all goes straight to them (which it doesn't at venues that take a cut), it should be cheaper. And you're already paying them to see them play, and they throw extra fees on merch, because they know people will pay it. It's about a 200% mark-up on a record. Dumb.
