travis
Ok. Can anyone confirm whether or not this is going to be a 2XLP?? Travis and SRC, I'm looking in your direction. Please tell me its 2XLP! I hope so. Ive asked Warner for a track listed and about if this is a single or double LP and havent heard back yet.
mcm1610
If it's not a 2xlp I'm going to bitch and moan about the price until I order it anyway. It being a 2xlp will make that decision a little easier.
mcpherson123
I'm getting scared man. Without "Convectuoso" this album just barely makes time for a single LP capacity. Even if it ISN'T on it, I would still prefer a double to maximize fidelity. White Pony is about the same length (with "Convectuoso") and is a 2XLP and is seriously one of the most beautiful presses I've ever heard. I've always felt those two albums had very similar production and going off the tone of WP, I can only imagine how great this can sound on 2 LP's. travis
Yea should be the same exact thing. Only 2 versions. The one HT has and the one everyone else has.

Rip
I still can't believe this is happening. Got my pre-order in at SRC. In a way I kind of want the white, but I honestly think I'll be more pleased with the black because it'll feel as close as possible to how the CD is. I mean... if that makes sense. The CD is a black vinyl, so why not?
vietmam
^ I feel that way too I'm thinking that there are 2000 black and 2000 white. 1000 of black to retail and the other to RSD.

Rip
The more I think about it, the weirder I would feel having this on white to be honest. I guess the only thing tempting to me would be how it's more "limited." But this is my first order with SRC also! I've heard nothing but good things, so it makes me even more stoked to get this. Shitty Rambo
I preordered from Amazon a week or so ago. I can't wait to finally have this.
derkwithano
Also not really a fan of white vinyl in general, in most instances. how come people keep saying this? Not bashing at all, just curious. I love my Motion City Soundtrack- Commit This to Memory on white. No streaks (though I enjoy streaks too) just crisp white. Looks good with the artwork. Off white looks even better. My Everyone Everywhere LP is off white with a small blue streak. BEAUTIFUL. And a great album!

I don't mind white with a swirl or marble... but just the plain, stoic white stands out as a terrible choice in my mind. Something about it is just super unattractive. Exceptions being when it just "works" with the album art, or compliments the labels nicely. [see; Deftones' Diamond Eyes.] I just have W&T synonymously linked to the image of a black record, as I'm sure a lot of people do. The limited (/2000) aspect of the HT press is cool, but I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of availability for something that just looks right. At least in my mind, thus far. I agree, white should really only be used if it works with the artwork. Good choice of word with "stoic" haha
lonesomexloveus
i love white vinyl. sidenote: how is 'stoic' even being used correctly? last time i checked, records were incapable of having feelings. (though admittedly, science has made pretty big AI jumps recently!)
appletree
over the past few months i got the feeling that white records sound like crap? note to self: go buy a dang cartridge and stuff
crazydiamond
White is the next best thing to black in terms of sound quality from what I heard. I think it can totally work with this release, just depends on the labels I think. Most of the time white is just SO white it doesn't even look like a record. Feel like im holding a white plastic throwing object lmao
pjaicomo
There is no difference among colors in sound fidelity. People have all sorts of kookie theories (white's worst, clear is worst, etc.). They have nothing to back it up. There is no molecular difference.
crazydiamond
Oh ok cool that clears it up for me lol. Idk if this was mentioned yet but it says on interpunk that convectuoso is a hidden track.......
appletree
yeah it was mentioned above. although the release date above is like 2002 or something while the other page is 2011 and does not mention the song. eh who knows and yeah that clears it up for me as well i had been wondering if colored vinyl was inferior to black vinyl. pablod85
Now, let's hope this is a 2xLP. If it's not, Side B will be like 25 minutes, not counting Convectuoso.
