Though, if I may give at least a shred of a legitimate response, what the fuck is up with fans thinking that musicians owe them something, just because "if not for us, you wouldn't be where you are?"

Whose place is it to fucking say that? Pretty arrogant, don't you think? Maybe it's the FANS that are fucking douchebags. You don't know what someone else's life is like! They already provided you with music and entertainment, quit crying for more! You don't own these people.

I'm upset right now so forgive grammer and spell spelling errors. a little backstory: Crazy Town is one of my favorite bands. They were the first band I saw live in concert in 2000 just before they broke with "Butterfly" My wife and I danced to Butterfly and Darkside at our wedding. basically this band has a special place in my heart. I got seth binzers email address from a friend and approached him with the idea of putting out a special 10 year anniversary edition of Gift of Game. he ignored me for months then explained (in rude terms) that im wasting his time. i explained my plan of using kickstarter and selling preorders within the vinyl communtiy to garuntee a good return and he basically told me to fuck off. ok i know they're making a comback this year and they are headlining fests, but that doesn't mean you can forget WHERE YOU CAME FROM and WHY YOU"RE HERE it's because of the FANS basically these guys sold out and they are fucking rockstar douchebags. im completely dissillusioned and i've deleted all my mp3s, broken my records and cds, and donated my tshirts. sucks to have such a big part of my life soured like this. wondering if anyone here has similar stories about trying to license vinyl?

first mistake was having crazy town be your favorite band.

second mistake was thinking some dumbass drug addict cares if you like his shitty band

3rd mistake was thinking anyone would buy their vinyl

4th was assuming they would ever become popular again

5th was assuming any band that generated any cash would care about people that listened to their music

6th was misspelling guarantee

ok i get it it's not cool to like crazy town anymore. this was probably the wrong place to post this im just not thinking clearly i guess. just wanted to know if anyone could relate. /thread
Fuck, that shitty song came out a decade ago. In addition to it's age it was clearly a one hit wonder. ON TOP OF THAT, what did you expect on a board comprised of MOSTLY decent music fans.

I'm too young to know this band so I'm on their Wikipedia page now. These two sentences are my favorite:

In 2000 Crazy Town was signed to tour with Ozzfest, however they were forced to withdraw after only two weeks when Binzer was arrested after he threw a chair through a window while he was drunk.[2][4] Turntablist DJ AM left at this point.

Edit: I do know the song "Butterfly," but was unaware of its standing as the funniest music video. From the DARE shirt to the goatee to the abundance of butterflies, everything in that video is comedy gold.
