kylet
I think it's time to purchase a digital scale. Sick up paying an extra .75 cents for tracking, and waiting in post office lines. Anybody have an recommendations? Any scales you do or don't like? Thoughts on buying a label maker as well? Is it necessary/worth it? Thanks guys. -Kyle

madtired
I have this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Saga-New-11lb-5kg-5000-x-1g-oz-Digital-Diet-Food-Weight-Kitchen-Postal-Scale-W-S-/150665568067?pt=Small_Kitchen_Appliances_US&hash=item23145e1f43 Less than $15. Not great for heavy items but perfectly fine for "records and cd's" no need for a label printer IMO.

kriss
My first thought seeing this was that it was related to the Stouffer's thread and the slightly heightened talk on VC the last few days about appearance and weight. hahah

Thinking of buying this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/260928238936 Does anyone know if increments of .1 ounce is accurate enough for the USPS or do I need something more precise? Any help is greatly appreciated.
catalinacaper
Have you had issues with inaccurately weighed packages? I usually just eyeball it when I print the labels online...

Not sure what the advantage of an AC adapter is unless you are shipping things all day long and keeping the scale on.

No, I've never tried. But I mail between 10-20 packages a week. So I figured I should get one of these. That scale would be a good pickup.. Hadn't seen it before. Not sure what the advantage of an AC adapter is unless you are shipping things all day long and keeping the scale on. I just don't wanna have to deal with batteries. I gonna go with this one. cactusbot
If you send more than 10 packages a week you need to invest in a label printer immediately.

GradedOnACurve
Bumping this thread because I'm thinking of buying one myself. Just need a good stand alone scale, no need for it to hook to a computer. Anyone have suggestions this time around? This isn't for weed. xjustinxschwierx
just order one off ebay, get one with like a 50-75 lb cpacity as to have it be more useful in the long-run...if you really need to know if it's reliable, look up the model number on consumer reports
