One Hundred Fifty-Two
I get that Devil and God is a better album, but Daisy is no slouch. Is it because it was pressed in a large quantity and only on boring black vinyl? Or are you over Brand New because "they were cool in high school, but now that I'm older they are lame." Do you still have beef with Daisy?
blanchardoswald
Always thought Daisy was incredible from day one.
gmoney
I really dislike the album. A lot. Just think the music is so bad - and terrible lyrics on a ton of songs. Maybe 2 or 3 I can get into.
motorbike
i just couldnt get into it. deja and d&g on the other hand had me from day one.
Rip
I love the album. Brand New can do no wrong in my opinion.
zac
Anyone who wrote this off as a bad "screamo" album (I have some friends who did) didn't really give it a chance and are completely wrong. The whole album rules and I can listen to it all the time.
One Hundred Fifty-Two
Yeah all brand new fans should re-listen to the album without the idea that it needs to top Devil and God.
onlettingjoe
I liked Daisy from day one and enjoy it much more than Deja.
icecream
see the thing is it's just really mediocre to begin with
motorbike
i dont think thats really the case. i dislike most of YFW, love Deja and D&G but Daisy is like sand paper on my balls. im glad people enjoy it though because i would hate for BN to get discouraged enough to not put out another album (written mostly by Jesse of course). cloud87
Always thought Daisy was incredible from day one. This. I honestly just think it's the different style that does it. I love it and consider it up there.
rtw88
Vices is just such a goofy (re:bad) song, that I haven't been able to seriously give the rest of the album a chance. I was talking to my friend the other day about how as we get older, we seem to be picking up on the albums we hated when they came out, and wondering when we'd love Daisy. alexschelldorf
Daisy holds a special place in my heart. I don't get the hate either.
jhulud
It's not my favorite album of theirs...but I don't hate it either. I dig the music...it's a bit more aggressive and angrier to an extent. I still rather enjoy it very much.
mcm1610
I haven't listened in a while, but I think the lyrics were super-awkward and corny and bad.
jimmyg
Don't like either to be fair, prefer the first two.
divinewind27
"they were cool in high school, but now that I'm older they are lame." My opinion: Deja Entendu definitely struck me at a good time and will be an album that's timeless in my opinion, likely because I have some nice nostalgia when I listen to the album. My first listen through TDAG I didn't overly like it but it did grow on me after a few listens, similarly for daisy but I think it's still got some growing to do... Not a huge fan but I wouldn't say anything Brand New has put out "sucks", I just might not "prefer it as much" if that makes sense? With that though maybe it's not being able to identify as much since we are getting older and deja entendu is going on... 10 years old now? (wow)
hobohunter48
Didn't like it at first but then I got super into it. I'm in love with all of their albums, but for different reasons. 1. Deja 2. TDAGARIM 3. Daisy 4. YFW
sonsofvipers
It's not my favorite, but i still love it. In my opinion: TDAGARIM>Deja>Daisy>YFW they're all excellent though

mattisr1984
lyrically, this album is weak. Musically its their most aggressive. I'm in the minority but the only BN record I'd rather listen to over this one is devil and god.
albert
Definitely Tool's best LP.
Guest
i almost have to listen to it from start to finish.. other than Sink, it doesnt really have any tracks that hold up well on their own. but as a whole, ive never not liked the album. i get why people dont, but im still gonna jam to it. i also dont consider my liking of it to fall under "brand new can do no wrong". kevin848
The only album I can get into by Brand New is Devil and God... I've give the other 3 their fair shot, but they just don't do it for me. It surprises me because Devil and God is so freaking good.
papermonsters
I was just talking about this album yesterday. I LOVE IT.
