bathroommonkey
I'm watching Butter back to back nights watching movies with Oliva Wilde in them.
museummouth
I went back and watched Beginners again yesterday, and although it gets pretty artsy at times, it's a great movie. Christopher Plummer is so good in it, and Melanie Laurent is a major cutie pie. Leaves you feeling good. Beginners is perfect. hobohunter48

It needs mad updating though. Dear Zachary was definitely brought up there. Tragic at best. e: http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/23173-good-documentaries/?hl=documentaries http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/49394-documentaries/?hl=documentaries http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/60219-good-documentaries/?hl=documentaries Wouldn't mind to mold these into one.... paintedinexile
A friend introduced me to this site called Letterboxd. It's a social networking website for sharing your taste in film. You can rate, like and review films. You can keep a diary of films you've watched, keep watchlists, look at stats, make lists of your favorite films, and add friends and see what they've been watching. Kind of cool. Just made my account, but you can follow me if you'd like: http://letterboxd.com/paintedinexile/

thebiglebowski
I am wondering what either of those sites brings to the table that IMDB doesn't. I don't need movie recommendations. I have hundreds lined up that I would like to see. The limiting factor is time to watch them (especially, chunks of 2 hours without anything else to do). I have hundreds lined up that I would like to see. The limiting factor is time to watch them (especially, chunks of 2 hours without anything else to do). I use it primarily to keep track of what I've seen, and occasionally what my friends have seen.
mitch.
I finally watched Empire Records after countless recommendations, it was decent.
thebiglebowski
I didn't think it was worth it to make a thread for a show most people hate but the main dude from Buckwild died. No way that can be April Fools. I can't see that show coming back -- a bunch of the cast members have been arrested and now this. It was pretty funny while it lasted. mitch.
I'v been watching Homeland, just started Season 2 so I'm a bit behind. Season 1 was fantastic though, rather consistent and well written in my opinion.
tittus
Just finished the season premier of Game Of Thrones. One of my favorite shows right now.
ronniegwilliams
Super stoked about starting the new season of Game of Thrones, though I'll probably wait a few weeks so the lady and I can marathon that shit. Got about halfway through season two of American Horror Story, but maybe that should be in the Hate Watching thread, because at this point I'm only watching it to finally finish it. Not impressed by the second season.

ronniegwilliams
Right? I'm at the point where I don't even care if I watch the last five episodes, this season sucks and I'm over everyone consistently ending up right back at the asylum. mitch.
thebiglebowski
Nice to have Game of Thrones back. That show flies only having 10 episodes a season. American Horror Story season 2 was widely discussed and mostly disliked, but I think a lot of people are willing to give it a pass as "good enough to see how the next season goes". Season 3 subject has been announced: witchs
mitch.
I mean, I'll watch Season 3 since it is once again a completely different setting, I just hope they are able to do a good job like they did with season 1. Season 2 had some potential but it fell way short in my opinion. However, for all I know the finale could have been mind-blowing.
Brock N Roll
For some reason, I had never seen the previews or heard about the movie "savages". Watched this yesterday and really really enjoyed it hobohunter48
ronniegwilliams
Savages was pretty damn good, I posted a few months back about how impressed with the cast I was. Dude from Kick-Ass done went and got ripped, you can see that he kept the routine going for him in the trailer for the Kick Ass sequel.
