futures
people are posting this alllll over facebook. http://www.policymic.com/articles/85541/nasa-study-concludes-when-civilization-will-end-and-it-s-not-looking-good-for-us I'm interested to see how FOX News will spin this to blame Socialism when it is clearly pin pointing that the current economic situation is to blame. Guest
I read some other article that said 1/3 of Americans only have 1k saved for retirement. all these articles make the future seem so bleak.
GHOSTDRONES
Retirement? What's that?
Guest
i just want to say that i blame those 19 kids and counting people for this. I've been hearing more and more of my girlfriends say they're never having kids. I feel like there's a child-free movement going on right now or something. maybe it's becoming more accepted. I want to live under my means for as long as possible so I can retire early.
futures
I started my retirement fund on January 1 of this year. My job has a policy where you have to work here for 1 year before you qualify. It makes me feel trapped here because it seems 401k's are becoming rarer these days.
danionly
You'd be surprised at how many people could have a 401k, but choose to not do it. I handle that account at my work and I remind people when they become eligible and they just never sign up. Makes me want to shake them and yell "DO IT FOR YOUR FUTURE, IT'S FREE MONEY" (company matches up to 4%)
lonesomexloveus
i have a pension plan, which is even rarer. though the government is dumb and decided to not pay their share in when times were good, and now they're so far behind in their side of the contributions that there's some crazy crisis and of course they're blaming us workers making diddly squat who have been paying our share in the whole time. also, usually the amount of money that comes out of your pay isn't even an amount that you would notice if you just had it taken out from the get go. jerseydave77
Retirement feels like a pipe dream even though both my wife and I have accounts. The good news is im fully vested in social security. The bad news it probably won't be there for us.

David The Gnome
So I'm making an infographic for class and guess what... it's about our oh so precious vinyl record albums. It'll officially be the 10,000th time it's been done.
