I dig stannis and he is fairly important character in the grand scheme of things. One thing to remember is that stannis is by nature boring. He's strictly by the numbers, dry as the dothraki sea and serious as a heart attack. Who would you want to drinking and wenching with, Robert or stannis? I partly wish he said "Aarrrrr...." more like the audiobooks. But, I guess they thought that was a little too tropey. Similarly, I like the way "Hodor" is said in the audiobooks, but I suppose they thought that was too stereotypical. It's just so flat in the show.
