spoon
I believe they held aside half of the initial deluxe pressing for the tour. They probably did something similar with the clear.
timsimmons
Yeah, so everyone took that to mean that there was 500 because 250 was advertised on the site. The original number given for the clear was 500. Hopefully they just grabbed a couple hundred of those for the tour. But it's possible they pressed more than 500. noname
Fuck, that means by the time they get out here they will be all gone. Oh, and I listened to the album 12 times today.

But it's possible they pressed more than 500. Ah, true. Although I think the pressing number for the clear was given through an email (unless I missed something they said or posted originally?) as opposed to being listed on the site as 'x amount of copies available' which seemed to be the cause of the confusion over the deluxe pressing. Either way it's great to see that there's something special available for those heading along to see the band live. Hopefully they stagger the amount they sell each night so there's still something by the time they play their hometown show in LA which I'll be attending. I'd love to grab that Trouble In Mind compilation for Liverpool psych fest which apparently the bands will have copies of on tour but I'm not optimistic about it lasting until their last date of the tour. mcpherson123
Anybody know if there's a way to sign up for the ITR newsletter? I've just been looking around the site for a way to sign up and I'm not finding anything.
dreamwolf
Anybody know if there's a way to sign up for the ITR newsletter? I've just been looking around the site for a way to sign up and I'm not finding anything. I don't think there is a formal one. If anything they will release hints on their FaceBook so definitely subscribe to that on FaceBook. Secondly when you're curious about a release that they mention on their FaceBook, e-mail them, they'll get back later rather than sooner. I think I sent 3 e-mails regarding the deluxe edition and someone from ITR was cool enough to let me know they would be released at a very particular time. Also check Instagram, there are some labels they work with that love to ride on the In The Red Recordings and they tag it and tell everyone how cool it is that they recieved early records etc. Anywho, sorry I didn't actually answer your question. I don't mean to come off as, "do it this way or the high way" kind of deal. Good luck in your endeavors let us know if you find that newsletter link! mcpherson123
Ha! Thanks. When people mentioned emails having info in them I assumed there was a newsletter. Seems like there wouldn't be when you take into account that on their own website they self-deprecate their ability to maintain and update the website. I follow them on Facebook but I'll have to track them on instagram now. Your helpful info is appreciated. dreamwolf
youspinmeround
anyone get this yet?
glass realms
I don't think ITR have shipped these yet. The non deluxe versions are in shops already. Not sure if they are colored vinyl.
ChardeeMacDennis
Non deluxe are clear I believe...at least in the uk
glass realms
The non deluxe are clear and blue via ITR mail order but I'm not sure the US retail versions are colored vinyl.
youspinmeround
This is why I sometimes hate ordering from the label. I can get this at my local store however the label has not shipped them out yet
ratbrain
got mine in the mail today, 7" is fine but the clear/black LP is warped to heck. bummer.

ChardeeMacDennis
Is it's fuzziness worth all the hype? Pics?
ratbrain
Is it's fuzziness worth all the hype? Pics? it's fuzzy but not furry, which is kind of what i expected. it's that kind of felt/velvet/? that you see on book covers sometimes. here are some pics, i'll just link them, don't want to spoil the fun for anyone who hasn't gotten theirs cover and spine - http://i.imgur.com/Cu7oTQt.jpg ITR logo on back - http://i.imgur.com/xnQTalU.jpg inside gatefold - http://i.imgur.com/2mnANmu.jpg clear w/ black splatter vinyl - http://i.imgur.com/D3cINmH.jpg cool promo poster - http://i.imgur.com/0Uu9kzS.jpg the album is so good i think i'm gonna have to buy a standard version so i don't destroy this one from playing it all the time. mcpherson123
Was hoping my order would show up today but I did not see it on my porch with the other mail sticking out of the box as I drove to work. I hope it shows up tomorrow. Does anyone know what kind of blue the press is? Opaque or translucent? Also, is the clear just straight up clear and is there even a black press available? I'm kind of hazy on the whole thing.
ChardeeMacDennis
Rat, thanks buddy...definitely more excited now. Hope mine comes in tomorrow. I will probably pick up a standard press as well, great idea to keep the deluxe fresh.
spoon
Hopefully there isn't a problem with the whole pressing, that looks amazing otherwise! My order will have probably reached my girlfriend's parents' house but I'm not touching down in LA until Wednesday so either way, hope it arrives by then. I assumed there was a black pressing judging by the way they removed the 'limited blue and clear available' from the description in their store but I guess we won't know for sure until someone buys a retail copy. Also for those in LA still shooting for a deluxe edition, Permanent Records are having a midnight sale for Fuzz and just by attending you'll go into a raffle for a copy. They're also giving out a few signed posters with purchases of the standard edition it seems: https://www.facebook.com/events/450555511729843/
timsimmons
Does anyone know what kind of blue the press is? Opaque or translucent? The blue is an opaque powder blue. The same color as the 7".
timsimmons
The velvet record is nice. inner sleeve is heavier than the standard inner sleeve. Its a nice package. Unfortunately, Unless it was more costly because the run was so low, the $50 cost seems high. Numero did a Medusa record the same way (crushed velvet, foil ink, tip on sleeve) and it retailed for about $35. granted, Numero most likely pressed maybe 3-5x more than ITR, which would bring the cost per unit down, but the $50 for Fuzz Deluxe was probably a bit high. Standard is the way to go! Personally I enjoy the album art on the standard more. Have you gotten any instructions about your warped record from In The Red? It's interesting they charged people $50 only to go a subpar record presser. But then again, they did need to make some money off of those 'expensive' sleeves
timsimmons
The inner+record are a bit of a tight fit in the sleeve too.
