It's unfortunate but to put things in perspective, racist people in the past used to do lynchings and a thousand other comparably horrible things. Today they put inflammatory things on facebook (at least, far more often than they commit hate crimes). Still think society is progressing. Just some more than others. The comment train almost always ends shortly after. Also, no matter how many times I see them or hear them, I still find it mind blowing that people like this are real.
