scored a copy of Sausage's "Riddles Are Abound Tonight" (Les Claypool's brief 90s side project)... been looking for this one for a looooong ass time at a good price (ie, under $100) and finally saw one come up on Discogs. super stoked.

I've also been looking for a long time and recently missed one on eBay that sold for $36. I dropped the ball on my last minute bid.

Finally took some time to rummage thru Amoeba's 50¢ 7-inch boxes, came up with some finds...

Chopper One - Free Lunch/Mr. Waldon (wanted this forever! couldn't believe my luck)

Cornershop - Born Disco; Died Heavy Metal

Joe Colley & Mike Shiflet - Intentional Accidents for Microphone

Low Times/Eets Feats - split EP (bought this just for the cover and it's actually good!)

The 5.6.7.8's - Bomb The Twist

The Loose Rails - You've Got Mine/Teenage Kicks

The Standells - Dirty Water (OG pressing)
The Standells - Dirty Water (Rhino reissue)

The Walker Brothers - The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore

Young Fresh Fellows - Sick & Tired of Me

And a couple LPs which were definitely not 50¢...

Dark - Dark Round the Edges

Hand - Everybody's Own

The Damn Personals - Standing Still In The USA

They Might Be Giants - Lincoln (finally!)

VA - Office Space soundtrack (bootleg)

What. I didn't even know a bootleg of this existed. How much did you pay for it / does it usually go for? I neeeeed it.

I paid $18 but it looks like you can get it for cheaper...

just gave it a spin and it sounds decent, good low end for something I'm assuming was copied from a CD. It's on clear vinyl and you can tell it's the cheap stuff, lots of imperfections, though it didn't seem to affect play...

Thanks for the links and info about the release! I'll pick this up soon. I'm glad to hear it still sounds decent despite the materials and sourcing. Woooo.

That dark record is killer. Went to my local shop and they were sold out but getting more soon.

I love Showcase Showdown. I've been meaning to pick up that record forever. Hope all goes well!

welp, the record showed up today. jacket is okay but the vinyl has tons of surface scratches/dust/dirt/grease/fingerprints.  :( should've known better than to give someone named "sweetleavesz" the benefit of the doubt.

Fuck that! Time to give them a shitty review.. How could someone do that to a Showcase Showdown record? Disrespect.

seriously, i'm appalled, and the guy is from Massachusetts too. (well, Worcester...) anyway, i wrote him a msg on Discogs saying i'd return it to him or take a partial refund. if i don't hear back, i'm gonna take his ass to Paypal Court and get my $ back.
