Portsi
Another new Isis release... From Isis's Facebook: On April 29th Ipecac Recordings will be releasing a remastered version of our record 'Panopticon.' It will also contain new artwork, and a 12 page booklet. No PO yet. mcpherson123
They never really specify vinyl unless they cleared that up in the comments section which contained many queries about whether or not there will be a vinyl component but I have a feeling there will be. I hope this US version will have the original CD artwork cover. I dig the other one but there's something just super eerie and poignant about that visual. eskimoswim
fuuuck hopefully this PO can wait a few weeks because i'm broke
celebdeath
Great. Will grab a copy. Very interested to hear how the remaster sounds. Aaron says more dynamics, that makes me happy.
Gippej
Really hoping for a vinyl release, don't own a copy of this album on wax. Should be interesting to hear a different version of this album. Remasters can be so hit or miss, and most of the time, I end up preferring the original. jpjustinpape
Yess!! There is no way they will just do a CD version of this in todays market. It would be a total waste of time and money considering the plummeting sale of CDs. I can't wait for the PO of this vinyl!!
ericfitforbattle
yeah, good reason to finally pick this up
radiatorhums
I hope this US version will have the original CD artwork cover. I dig the other one but there's something just super eerie and poignant about that visual. I agree with you. I like the LP cover art more, but the original cover would give me even more reason to pick it up (given it does get a vinyl pressing). Seems like Isis has had a fairly steady stream of releases considering they broke up years ago.

Seems like Isis has had a fairly steady stream of releases considering they broke up years ago. For real. But they're certainly an artist worthy of keeping in rotation (and print) if you ask me. The vast majority of their discography is legendary, and I'd love to see it readily available to new fans and vinyl enthusiasts alike. markok
Shameless offtopic, but if anyone in Europe wants the latest reissue of this (from two-three years ago) with retail price (23 euros plus shipping 10 euros), I have two mint unplayed copies available. I bought these from nuclearblast.de
Neanderthal
Stoked! Was gonna throw down some heavy cash for a first or second press of this a few weeks ago. I really do love this album. The intro in Backlit gets me every time. So beautiful.
FangsAnalSatan
Yay cashgrab! As Derek said, I'm a sucker for Isis so I'm going to probably buy this regardless.

Guest
I can't fucking wait. I love this record, probably my favorite from them. I'm not a fan of the vinyl art either.
morfiend
I'm happy with the 3-4 copies if this I already have. I'm glad it's staying in print though, it's probably my favorite ISIS record.
andi
Pretty curious for that booklet. The new mix with more dynamics sounds pretty awesome as well. In other words, can't wait.
fitterhappier
I may need to buy even though I already own a copy
mindovermatter
This is my fav Isis album, so I will be grabbing it. Fingers crossed for a good remaster!
Derek™
Assuming that this does in fact see the vinyl treatment, is anyone else relieved that it drops well after RSD has come and gone?
radiatorhums
Assuming that this does in fact see the vinyl treatment, is anyone else relieved that it drops well after RSD has come and gone? I didn't think of that, but I'm definitely thankful for it. Has Ipecac done much for RSD besides that Tomahawk box?
whoshotthefrog
I'm definitely going to pick this up. I'm always looking to build up my Isis collection.

Neanderthal
I need to hear this remaster. Listened to this album today again, and I personally feel the drums are too high in the mix. Anyone else agree, or nah?PS: Think it's my favorite Isis album. It's so hard to decide between this and Wavering Radiant.
