jonnywreck
i remember the first punk goes pop from when i was in high school. The Starting Line doing "Im Real" was hot shit. I'm so glad I'm not in high school these days. passionbrand and jase
smeepo
I can't believe Black Veil Brides and Blood on the Dance Floor didn't make it on there honestly. TheWindBlower and aflycon
jase
Punk goes metal was AWESOME! Everything since has been average, or very very far below average
Out of Breath Records
This is pretty Lol-worthy. I'm surprised this is even being posted for PO on VC.
anthemforadoomed
Ah yes, Ice Nine Kills, the band most notable for having beef with Heisel over a poor AP review and commanding their MySpace followers to attack these boards. http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/5621-screamo-bands-with-fragile-egos/ That's hilarious. I remember them playing almost every local show that went on in my town when they were in high school. They have always been the worst. It's too bad because any band whose name is based off something from a Vonnegut novel should be good!
xadamhudsonx
I second that comment on Punk Goes Metal. The only PunkGoes I ever listened to and liked. This track list is a fucking joke.
kforkevin777
Falling In Reverse covering a song that In Fear & Faith already covered (and likely a far better version)? If they want my money they will press the early iterations. This x100. Also I decided a Mayday Parade and Color Morale track isn't worth it. rickman
I guess by Punk Goes' definition, "punk" means whatever bands are on Warped Tour. aflycon

aflycon
I guess by Punk Goes' definition, "punk" means whatever bands are on Warped Tour. Well if scene kids like them, they have to be "punk," right? Scene kids and punks are, like, the same thing. This band is way more punk than those old geezers who used to do Warped Tour, anyway. smeepo
This band is way more punk than those old geezers who used to do Warped Tour, anyway. I worshiped that music video for about two years. I had hair like Johnny Franck's (the clean singing guy). Are we supposed to feel shameful of our Warped Tour-defined "punk" years?

Are we supposed to feel shameful of our Warped Tour-defined "punk" years? I had hair like that too for years, but never heard "Stick Stickly" until a few months ago. I also haven't been to Warped Tour. My whole post was just a sarcastic mess. It wasn't as funny as I had expected.

cartmanlit3
anyone else curious to hear the ghost inside covering POD's "southtown"? that should be interesting. also color morale covering everlong should be sick. rest is mainly garbage though theres always only 1 or two talented bands on these. i just put the couple tracks i like on my ipod and discard the rest. That being said....definitely would never buy this on vinyl

Only two I'm looking forward to. I'll give those two bands a shot on anything particularly TGI. I'll also give Yellowcard a fair shake. rsersen
I'm interested in the Hands Like Houses and Color Morale covers, but that's about it. Which is pretty much the same for every Punk Goes release - two or three songs that are good enough for me to save on my ipod or spotify playlist, and the rest are junk that I never want to hear again. For $20+ with shipping, I'll pass.
