We are proud to announce that we have signed with SideOneDummy Records, and that they will be releasing our new album, Christmas Island, on May 6th, 2014. The Christmas Island players are Sean, Ben, Preston, Deacon and Mark as well as Dylan Cook on mandolin with guest vocals by Jamie Stewart (of Xiu Xiu)We commissioned the wonderful Suzanne Falk to make the album cover, a photorealistic painting of a diorama she and Sean made together. The title of the painting is: "Everything we were ever looking for was there all along".This album represents a special kind of growth for us. Had trouble choosing between the Orange/Purple and the Blue/Pink/White, the Orange is limited to 500 and the blue to 3000 but the blue looks so much better. I'm gonna have to wait on this one. Starburst will go fast but the swirl should be there for a long time. Oh well it looks cooler anyway.
