As for NMH, I didn't "get" them for years, then one day they just clicked for me, so I can definitely understand those who aren't into them.

also, i wish people would have the common courtesy to not stage dive on a. people holding expensive camera equipment, or b. smallish people/girls. once my sister and i were at a show standing up by the corner of the stage (because she's only a hair over 5 feet tall and can't see anything if we don't get close) and some huge, at least 250lb guy decided to stage dive/more like belly flop off of a monitor on that corner of the stage. i saw him coming, grabbed her and sidestepped out of the way just as he jumped and landed smack on the floor. DATS WHATCHU GET.
 
double also, people with beer: please stop standing in or close to the pit. i don't want you to get jostled and spill beer all over me. if getting drunk/having a drink means so much to you, go do it somewhere else.

I was fortunate enough to meet up with Josh (Deakin) of Animal Collective earlier in the year and we sat and spoke for about an hour over coffee. I broke my cool once we got back to the band's hotel and asked if he'd sign my People 7".
 
He was more than happy to and when he noticed Noah (Panda Bear) standing out the front he asked "Do you want me to get Noah to sign it for you to?" Of course I said yes and he ended up introducing me to Noah and we spoke for awhile before they had to get to soundcheck.

She's the most overrated piece of trash in the music world.

The only season of any of these I ever watched was when Adam Lambert was on American Idol. He was so fucking good. But the "moral majority" fucked him by voting for the clean cut knob.
AL's version of "Mad World" is still one of the best covers I've heard.
But dammit did he go on to make some real shitty faux-glam pop garbage.

No, Hot Topic had 750 copies, and FBR held onto 200 copies for themselves. It was always a run of 950 each variant for this third pressing.

Third 7" they ever put out, limited to 500 copies, mail order only in 1990. I was able to get the remaining band members to sign it when they came over to North America in '09 (after ten years of not doing anything over here, maybe an album release if we're lucky), and their bassist, being the last to sign it, just looked at it and said "this is worth a bit of money now, isn't it?"
 
"I will never find out" was my response. (no, I still haven't found out.)
 
The 7" contains early versions of what would become "Repeat" and "New Art Riot," and the rawness of it is just so goddamn endearing. They were kids, and it showed. I love it. I wouldn't give this thing up for anything.

Just a heads up - they're playing Jimmy Fallon tonight, my guess would be it's a new song.
