searos
Its probably been brought up before but I did not find a thread in my searches so I thought it would be cool to hear what people's favorite 7" were. LPs are awesome but sometimes 7" just have songs that are not as well known or exclusively in that format. I know I got a few that I really am glad I got my hands on so I thought it would be fun to discuss. If it has been brought up already just let me know and send me the link.If I had to pick favorites off the top of my head without going through my collection I would sayDinosaur Jr. - Now The Fall 7" Paramore - Native Tongue/Escape Route 7" The Gaslight Anthem - Tumbling Dice 7"
idreamofpunk
Manic Street Preachers - Feminine Is Beautiful Third 7" they ever put out, limited to 500 copies, mail order only in 1990. I was able to get the remaining band members to sign it when they came over to North America in '09 (after ten years of not doing anything over here, maybe an album release if we're lucky), and their bassist, being the last to sign it, just looked at it and said "this is worth a bit of money now, isn't it?" "I will never find out" was my response. (no, I still haven't found out.) The 7" contains early versions of what would become "Repeat" and "New Art Riot," and the rawness of it is just so goddamn endearing. They were kids, and it showed. I love it. I wouldn't give this thing up for anything. openupyourskull and youspinmeround

konk
I hate 7"s. I usually listen once and then put it away. My favorite Measure song is on the OWTH split, but I always listen to the collection LP. My second favorite Measure song is on some other split. Isotopes - Heat Seeker EP

apeman
Minutemen - 'Georgeless' Pre- George Hurley recording, hence the title. Put out by Forced Exposure in 1993. Until then I had mostly just bought lp's, but this was among the first 7" releases I purchased, thus it means a lot to me.
