Okay, so there was a deal in the Amazon thread for Taylor Swift's 1989 for like $12 shipped used. I put it in my cart and hovered over the "submit order" button, and I decided to back out, but I slipped on the mouse.
 
I can't decide whether or not to cancel my order, so I figured I'd leave it up to you guys. First person to reply with "yes" or "no" decides whether or not I keep it.

Also, a couple of years ago I was telling my friend (when I started my collection) that I couldn't wait to find a purple vinyl of an album I really liked. Few weeks later and it was near Christmas and he gave me a NM copy of minus the bear - planet of ice on clear with grey splatter (he thought it was the purp one) when I said "I love you" he said Dont worry, I got one of every color.
Reminded him of that the other day and how grateful I was to own it before any represses came out. He had no idea they were worth so much. Probably wouldn't have given it to me if he'd of known lol

I'm totally fine with keeping it available. But selling a "limited bundle" of a vinyl repress to vinyl-loving customers, where the vinyl itself is not limited at all? Call me snob or an asshole but I hate it. I would have prefered if they made 500 orange vinyl for the bundle and then kept selling black or yellow or whatever color afterwards. And I'm pretty sure that most labels would have handled it that way.

Well, slight change...this came on clear vinyl with blue and white splatter. Still looks really awesome.
 

jason tate is the whiniest bitch ever. this isn't a new opinion nor is it an original thought in the slightest... but the "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" mentality is the sorriest excuse of an idea ever. 
 
also, how is coming to the defense of large labels at all (absolute)punk?
 
yes vinyl prices are going up from "cash-in-labels" like SRC, Because Sound Matters and AFS (RIP). And from major labels like Warner and Interscope (lana del rey at urban outfitters?!) because it's the first thing they know they can sell in a while. 
 
Small indie labels are still finding ways to keep prices down though because those sales aren't guaranteed. They spend more to produce each unit and sell it for less. 
 
Like every other big corporation, big labels aren't worried about getting the music in the people's hands, they're worried about making as much money before the bubble bursts. If they could take a step back and realize they're causing the bubble to burst sooner, that'd be great.

Yeah, they've been hounding me for these for at least a week or two.  Finally submitted it, and now they want my work schedule and list of fears.

Glad I'm not the only one thinking this. Seriously, naming an album from a supposed-to-be "punk"ish band "Hebrews?" I don't have too many high hopes for this.
