We're going to be seeing a lot of these I feel. I know we already have been for a while, but it's going to continue. I don't see it as a huge deal, but my advice is to keep close track of what you have ordered because it's getting confusing.

Well, Science Fiction came out in 2017 so by the time Brand New decides to release a new album it'll be around 2025 and by then people might forget they got cancelled.  Especially now that cancel culture is sort of being cancelled.

I finally opened my copies of all 3 EPs and they have the largest warps I’ve ever seen in a looong time. And they all play perfect. Bravo, Mondo!

I still want it. But that price point is absurd. 2 song black 7" without a jacket came out to over $16 shipped. I jumped on it, because it's limited to /1000 (low for AFI) so I figured it was now or never. It's only going up in price on the second hand market if I don't swallow the $16 and jump on it now. 

Now they take that "limitedness" away. Let's say there's 5k or 10k. These will end up on the second hand market for peanuts in a couple of years. And might end up going out to distributors so local shops can order them. Can get that same 7" for half the price now. 

It's just shady business practice to get people to jump on a preoder. Then second guess your pressing numbers and raise them, after 1000 customers already committed to what was supposed to be a "limited record".  It's not that we don't want it. It's just an asshole move. Which a lot of us have come to expect out of labels like Rise.

I know the music industry is struggling and doing everything they can to stay afloat right now, but AFI/Rise just made $10,000 off of a 2 song 7" by saying that it was limited and it turns out it's not?  Things like this are just shady business practices and the absolute reason why I do not buy more from Rise Records.  I trust them as much as I trusted Victory 10 years ago and I hope that they end up in the same spot.

Some painful subjects are woven into the pop-rock and orchestral sounds. From the slow-burning “Spinning” to the razor sharp single “Swim”, it’s a versatile and colourful album. Jack’s Mannequin is the side project of Andrew McMahon from pop punk band Something Corporate. They recorded three albums during their existence. McMahon crafted some incredible pop songs for the band. The album, which also contains bonus track “Miss California”, is available as a limited edition of 2500 individually numbered copies on silver vinyl.

At this point, they ought to just start from scratch and produce a quality product because I have a feeling they are going to be going through a lot of refunds for poor quality.  Such a shame that they couldn't get their shit together for such what could have been a very cool release.

this reeks strongly of my 20th and 21st albums as well, i'd have to check my list to see how we stack up
