Where/how is this signed? Directly on the cover? That wasn't advertised, when I preordered.
Signatures are total rockstar bullshit. There's no point in it except that someone draws on something that's dear to me. I don't let my kids draw on my record covers, either...

This was super helpful. Thanks! Thrice has been my favorite band since The Artist in the Ambulance and my favorite records of theirs are Vheissu and TAI.
Maybe I came across a bit negative on my last post- I totally didn't mean to. There's really no way Thrice could "lose me."

Sure.
To me, these two songs do sound different and represent the two sides of this record (I wouldn't necessarily call them "extremes"). "Blood on the sand" is a catchy alternative rock song (simple verse-bridge-chorus structure, hookline in the chrous...). There are a few of these on the record, which make it easier accessible than Beggars or M/M to me. "Black honey" as well as "The window" (and others) are dirtier, groovier, more in the vein of said previous records.
If you are looking for extremes on single elements (e.g. ambient sounds ("Salt and shadow"), melodies ("Stay with me"), outbursts ("Death from above")...), you'll probably find them in every song. It's a diverse record, ranging from easy accessible hooklines to songs that need to grow on you.
Maybe that perception is also influenced by the fact that I've been following Thrice since Identity Crisis. My personal favourites are the first three records (or four, if you count First Impressions). However, they haven't lost me on their development since then and I enjoy their entire discography.

European versions showing up first. Here's Kings Road Europe's transparent red & clear as well as Impericon's blue. Still waiting on the rest. The poster came with the Kings Road order. I really like that blue, just as somewhat of a personal favorite color, but the other two look good with the album cover.
I'm not sure what everyone is complaining about, but I'm loving this album. -

I mostly only go to a handful of local shops who all know me by name and they're all fine with it. But I use a sharp credit card and leave the record, sleeve, and even shrinkwrap in PERFECT condition every time I check a record for its color.
It's pretty standard collector's stuff. Never seen anyone upset about it, including managers of record stores.

Why only "almost" complete?
1) The latest press of "that within blood..." on grey vinyl is missing. Easy buy... however, the last distro has sent me a second copy of the maroon 4th press instead...
2) The split with Another Victim comes on kind of a vinyl bong. I know that there is at least a color variation more red/brown than the pink marble I have. But in the end it's 150 unique color variations...
3) The Detroit Fest version of the split with BSF is also available with the other colors; but, hey, I got the flyer and all colors - doesn't matter where I put it on, does it?!
4) No test presses. But I will hopefully never start with those...

Why only "almost" complete?
1) The latest press of "that within blood..." on grey vinyl is missing. Easy buy... however, the last distro has sent me a second copy of the maroon 4th press instead...
2) The split with Another Victim comes on kind of a vinyl bong. I know that there is at least a color variation more red/brown than the pink marble I have. But in the end it's 150 unique color variations...
3) The Detroit Fest version of the split with BSF is also available with the other colors; but, hey, I got the flyer and all colors - doesn't matter where I put it on, does it?!
4) No test presses. But I will hopefully never start with those...
