There is no way that Mondo is going to try to "slip one by" on Ghibli. We knwo for a fact there are outstanding international orders. Do you think they are just going to eat those records? The gallery is closed and they are going to sell them.

I couldn't agree more. I think the green is more true to the film, better looking with the package, and will probably sound better too. That said, I'll still be psyched to get the GiD, but, Green would also be 100% happy with.

Got my notification today too. After checking out the pics while the glow-in-the-dark is a perfect novelty for this release, I'm really liking how that green looks with the artwork.

I bought Maniac 3 days after it "sold out" on their site. Lots of knowitalls up in dis bitch.

Also, the Oblivion OST went back up a month after it was sold out on their site.
 
Also, apparently they're handling things differently when it comes to vinyl releases, of which there haven't been hundreds yet. So I'd say it isn't completely out of the question.

They've never sold exclusively to the US before, except for Maniac, which is bad to compare against because it sold out in 1 day. But, when Maniac sold out, the international orders got cancelled and the rest went up online... Could be similar for this release.
They've already said they are in no rush to ship these out so i don't see why waiting a few days to put up the extra copies would be an issue for them.
I'm not saying they will go back online, but saying "they never have before" is meaningless.. because they've never had a 3x2xLP US exclusive that took a few days to sell out before.

I haven't been but I have heard they have the vinyl there. I'm not sure how up-to-date it is. I.E. I'm not sure if they have maniac out, and I'm fairly positive they don't have Ghibli's out yet!

Just listened to some of this on youtube (kind of backwards to purchase and THEN listen!) and I'm really surprised a lot of people on here are into this.  I think Mondo is good for encouraging new movie soundtrack fans.
 
Also, I didn't comment on this before, but the most recent MANIAC soundtrack is stellar.  THAT was a nice surprise!!!
