I will agree I was confused by the lack of green in the first one. It was so close to the cover art, but still not quite. Either way, I think they're both ugly as shit, but whatever.
I'm just really glad that A) they repressed everything and b) plan to keep the blackish one in print for awhile.

Insurance companies have sub-limits on certain categories of items, like jewelry, firearms, collections, etc.  For me, records are a sub-limit at $500 total value insured.  A collector can always purchase a rider to increase the sub-limit value of certain categories.  The total personal property limit includes insurance up to all of the sub-limits, plus whatever does not have a sub-limit.

You need to read the fine print. Most standard policies have that 500 dollar limit for media that is off premise such as in your car etc.

If its in your house, it should be up to the personal property limit.

Every homeowners policy I have had has been like this and never distinguished contents based on Total loss or partial loss.

With that said, I have never had Progressive as they actually don't underwrite the policy but use various other companies and entities

    THIS 100%.
We are in the process of building a new home (almost finished) and our Progressive insurance has ~$250k in overall "personal property', however, it has a breakdown of $500.00 for records, cds, etc.
In the event of a total loss, i.e. the house burns down, the $250k will include the records along with everything else.
In the event of stolen records, water damage, i.e. not a total loss, then the $500.00 limit applies.
My Discogs: min $82k, med $155k, max $266k.

The estimate to add a rider to insure the entire collection in the event that there is not a total loss was somewhere around $1,200/mo, which is not worth it and I would rather take the hit of the few records someone takes/get damaged, than pay $14k/year to insure them.

Moving 4,000+ LPs was not an fun or easy task, so kudos to anyone who steals all of them out from under me in less than 15 minutes.

Maybe it's because my collection isn't in a value of six figures, but when I got house insurance they were fine with me presenting my Discogs data as proof of items/value.

Good luck doing a quick video of the covers or spines, and trying to prove that it’s a limited 1st press variant /150 and not a 2022 repress ordered through Amazon.

No one likes the alternate artwork. The fact they haven't sold out of the limited ones for both speaks volumes. The timed preorders aren't necessary at this point.

Even better.  I went straight for the throat and found the profile in the screenshot above.  I presume they’ll take it personally and lose sleep over it.

fun fact it wasn't even on their page, rather than on Equal vision's post about this.

Knowing that they come unglued that easily, I’m afraid that I’m now gonna’ have to dust off my IG account and see if I can’t push their buttons a bit.  I have like 6 posts on my profile and they’re all private so whoever is running that account can seethe. 😎

I’ve listened to the new album a lot. Two of the tracks on there are probably in my top 10 Jack songs. I need to listen to the acoustic album more. I’m gonna try to do that this weekend. Saw him in DC a couple months ago, and recently in Baltimore and Charlotte. Both shows were great, but DC was definitely my favorite. Managed to snag a foil print at the Charlotte show. The Baltimore show had a “contest” poster which was kinda of interesting. You can either keep the print in tact, or fill out the entry form at the bottom to possibly win a limited edition Warsaw bar, or signed album. I decided to keep mine since the odds were so small. Seeing him at a smaller venue in Asheville next Friday. Stoked for that. The new stuff has been really fun live.

Yeah that's sort of where I'm at. TSwift albums are available in abundance, I'm not worried about snagging the first pre-order.

    Well it's TMV release day.

My vinyl pre-order shipped out yesterday.  I guess I accidentally ordered from the Europe Clouds Hill site instead of US so it'll be a hot minute before I get my copy.

Listening to the album this morning though and I've got to say I'm pretty satisfied so far.  To me, it doesn't sound like anything TMV has ever done.  Definitely doesn't have the energy of Deloused, Frances and Bedlam.  I would say it's most closely resembling of Octahedron and Noctourniquet.  I'm a big fan of those albums just as much as the high-energy TMV so it works out fine for me.

If it’s anything like all the other reissues, we’ll see this for a very affordable price in a couple of months.

Yeah that song sucks, cliche maroon 5 sounding shit...
And after paying stupid dollars for the reissues from clouds hill then to have a million variants available everywhere way cheaper... there is zero chance I'll preorder this at 40 euro plus shipping.

Vigil ? Listened to it this morning... 🤢 I'm quite sure Incubus (to name one) took them by both hands to the hell of lost bands... They should have stopped it really earlier or like Antemasque, don't call it Mars Volta, by respect.

Cool they’re releasing new music. Curious to see how this single fits into the rest of the album.

Also, I wonder how Clouds Hill will go about handling the vinyl release this time. Overpriced regular black version first, decently priced colored versions after?

That poster is awesome, but I couldn’t justify spending $333 on one.

Seeing him tomorrow in DC. Stoked cause he is always great at The Anthem. Definitely gonna get a print, and excited for early entry and actually getting off work early. No anxiety about getting there on time. Haha.

I was at the show last night. I try to get a poster at every Jack White related show that I go to, have been doing so for 19 years. This was the first time I didn’t see uptake on an item like this. There was the regular /300 poster that sold for $50, then this which was /200 for $333. I only saw one person with one at the show. I suspect there are many leftover. It also probably didn’t help that they didn’t display them at all, so you couldn’t see what you were getting without asking to have one brought up to visualize.
