This might’ve slipped through the cracks for a few people who’ve been after an OG.

Been waiting for a good chance to post this since I found it last year. I went to a local shop that I don't frequent often and went through the 7"s. Pulled out a few things that peaked my interest, one of them being a record by a band called Epitaph (admittedly, thought it was an early release by the label). It was in the store for 4ish years so it was marked down to $1. I obviously picked it up because it looked like something I'd be into.
I got home and did a quick Google and Discogs search with no results. Figuring it was just some obscure band who had one release and called it quits, I threw it on my shelf and forgot about it until earlier this year.
While organizing my collection, I gave the search another go by googling members names. I couldn't find any of the other three at first but found out the vocalist (Jeff Howlett) directed A Band Called Death. I found him on Facebook and shot him a message. Waiting for his reply, I pulled the poly sleeve off and opened the paper jacket to find it signed by 3/4 members with very personal inscriptions. Kind of cool but wasn't anything too intriguing until I searched again for the members followed by their respective instrument. The bassist, credited as Eugene Nicolaev, led me to an article about about the vocalist of The Fags but spelled differently and how he changed his name (or something to that affect) and founded Gogol Bordelllo. I still was not 100% whether Eugene Hutz/Nicolaev/Nikolaev were the same person until I got the full story after Jeff messaged me back. This was Eugenes first recording after he came to the states and it was recorded by Tom Walters. The band broke up shortly after and he went onto do what the article talked about.
Jeff said he hasn't seen one in 10 years and doesn't remember who this was signed for.
Seeing as I have most of the info about it, I have a few questions that could be answered here. As big of a band as Gogol is - how did something like this fade into obscurity? Does anyone else here have a copy or at least know anymore info about it?

Yeah I know. She was still given the records found in storage though.

**Not trying to start a witch hunt, just trying to find some info.**
Apologies for the bump, but anyone know how many pressings Iodine did? I was under the impression it was just the first run of black, clear, blue, and white with a TCR reissuing it a few years back. I own an Iodine test but I'm talking to someone who got his from Casey (founder of Iodine) and he told me there were multiple pressings according to Casey.
Apparently there were 3 tests made for the first press and 8 for a supposed 2nd press. As for the whereabouts of those, (according to this guy) Jesse has one, Casey had one, and Iodines publicist had one (I got mine off of her). Around ~1.5 years ago, 6 tests and a few more white copies were found in storage and they were given to the former publicist. This is where I got sketched about the whole situation because I had bought mine not too long ago but I believe it was before they were found in storage. Supposedly the matrix numbers are different but I haven't got to see the one from the guy who I talked to.
What's also interesting is he defined the 2nd press as the ones with the special jackets as they have different matrix numbers. Could Iodine have possibly milked an unknown repress before the license expired, if it was licensed?

Anyone else think the chorus sounds like a Front Bottoms song?

One is for me, one is a surprise for a friend who didn't have money the day they went up.
If he ended up scoring a copy without me knowing, I'll sell it for cost + shipping but I'm pretty sure he didn't.
Edit: It's been claimed if he has one.

If anyone is in the Philly area and wants to avoid shipping costs, Repo Records has one copy each of the electric blue and green.
Sadly they didn't get any of the stress balls.

Didn't wanna bump the ETR thread, but this just happened. -

Only other copy I could find.
Based on the description, maybe it was a label exclusive?
Edit: Seems it was the first batch of the 800 according to the second to last listing.

"Unplayed copy of the first run. #104/180. New but never sealed. Comes in stickered Glassnote Records poly sleeve. Looks to be a perfect copy, crisp sleeve and records."

I wouldn't stress if you can't order the deluxe today. Based on the tape reels, there should be well over 10,000 of these made.

Tarrget has an eBay?
Yeah. They'll occasionally throw things up for much cheaper than their online store, but for the most part it's the same price.

Not sure if I posted this here, but I finally got the last Brand New 7" I needed a few months ago. The clear Rookie Lot split was given to someone from Jesse which is kind of cool.
(I'm having issues embedding pictures too it seems, or its just because I'm on mobile and it won't load)

@Eliminator Jr. @mcpherson123 Thanks guys, I appreciate the replies!
I want to order Mellon Collie from Amazon. Is there any way to be sure that these are the fixed 2015 copies?
Or if anyone knows a place/link that sells the 2015 version for sure, I would appreciate it. I really don't want to spend my money and it turns out to be a 2012 copy.
Check target's ebay. I snagged it for a little under $70 when the new ones came out.
But those one's should be the newer ones, even if it says 2012 in the release date.

Just bought a bunch of CDs and one of them was the limited version of White Pony. I got in the car to put it in, and it's signed by the full era lineup. Also just added another Jagged Little Pill tour shirt to the collection.

Keep checking Discogs if you still need a copy. I just got one for $90 shipped.

They have the Lush box set for $138 shipped to US. I'm assuming since its Europe that it'll have the full packaging.
