This was the single most chaotic and twirly thing I have ever seen. Every bone in my body hurts and it was worth every second of the drive from Baltimore to Philly.
 
they have copies of untitled and only love on vinyl on the merch table, so this isn’t a completely useless bump... but yeah I just wanted to say GO SEE THIS BAND THEY ARE SAVING MUSIC.

Building on twenty years of creating some of the most epic, emotive and inventive heavy music unleashed on the world, there is no denying that Cult Of Luna's A Dawn To Fear is a monster of a record. An album comprised of eight tracks running seventy-nine minutes, it embodies everything the band's faithful have come to expect from them while covering new ground. "Going into the process, we knew the album we wanted to make, an antithesis of what we've done before," says vocalist/guitarist and lead songwriter Johannes Persson. "For pretty much every album there's been a very concrete theme. We've known from the start the kind of story we wanted to tell, and I didn't want that to be the case. I've seen a lot of subtle changes and patterns in my own behavior and my own thinking the last couple of years, and I wanted this to be a completely spontaneous process. I just wanted to see what came out of me, and 'A Dawn To Fear' is the result of that."

Worth the wait. mwY releases are always top notch in quality and uniqueness (anyone see anything like the Pale Horses 3xLP?) 

LOL. Man I just looked closely at the cover. I love Chelsea Wolfe and I love “goth-y” stuff, but she nails the dark, deep, high school level art.

Ditto. I would add that Kapitän Platte is a great choice for people like me in the EU (UK actually, no idea if that's still Europe anymore cough cough), the 5 euros flat shipping fee is very convenient. 🙂

Can't wait to check this out!  Love Sleep with Wires (one of the few 7" I actually play) and your other singles that aren't on vinyl yet. The 10" split was good too but slightly divergent.

You guys have the finished product in hand yet?  I’d be curious to see how those mockups compare to the real deal.  Will gladly give this a listen soon though.  Thanks for keeping a new record release under $20 before shipping in 2019.

We kind of took a break to revaluate after our last split 10" but we've finally made a full length. We also have a new drummer that's brought some more heaviness and intensity to these tracks. He formerly played in the band Early Grace (they did a split with Cave In back in the day).

Hot take: This isn’t THAT bad. I generally like Fridmann (The Woods is my favorite Sleater-Kinney album, and lots of people think that sounds like shit too). To be fair though, my hearing is also garbage. EITHER WAY: I still like these songs and am looking forward to the album.
