Went with the blue & white pinwheel w/ splatter. New song is definitely better than I anticipated. Wasn't really hyped for this release since I didn't trust that they wouldn't go more down the Code Orange route...but I am now. Really excited to hear their track with Geoff Rickley!

I'm very curious to see how this all plays out considering how long I've been a fan of the band... Keith getting sober and making all of these lifestyle changes is great for his wellbeing, I'm just not sure I've bought any of it. All the soundbites from various interviews just feel like he's talking about the person he wants to be, and it doesn't seem genuine. Feels forced. Granted, I'm just some dipshit fan on the internet, so what do I really know? Clearly the changes he has made have transformed his personality, and it obviously has to have an impact on the band and their interpersonal relationships. Fingers crossed this has a happy ending.

Easily one of my favorite albums of the year. So many earworms here to focus on during future listens. Obviously this isn't the typically cathartic Converge record, but there's still a healthy dose of aggression to be found. This is an experiment on a grand scale - feels cinematic in scope.
