You're right.  However, I'm treating this situation different for a few reasons (I can't speak for others...):
As brought up, many of these will be going to people who will hang it on a wall or put it in a box, but never play it.  While I understand the value of a collectable, I would personally rather see it go to someone who will actually play it. Given the extremely high demand, and very low supply, a very large percentage of these will end up in the hands of flippers.  I want to do everything I can to cockblock this. You're assuming everyone who has pipped up will actually be able to make an order.  I figured that MAYBE 1 in 10 will actually be able to order anything.  This is totally going to sell out in like 30 minutes or less. Given these points if I'm able to make a mass order I will.  Normally I don't like that idea as hoarding, even temporarily, causes bottlenecks in supply and demand.

If you guys flipping stops anyone here from getting even just one copy for themselves, then fuck you too.

I don't agree with this for pretentious arty reasons that hold no real water in an argument.
 
I don't feel like having a bunch of film scenes pasted in equates to capturing a films "essence".  That's like taking a picture of a waterfall and saying that it automatically captures the majesty of seeing it in person.
 
The idea of taking a static visual medium and using it to capture the essence of a non-static visual medium (not to mention other stylistic elements such as the way a plot unfolds or dialogue) is not as simple as pasting screen caps.
 
Basically what I'm saying is that Mondo strives to evoke the same reaction when you see their artwork as when you watch the movie.  I don't believe that can be accomplished by simply proving images from the movie.

I think the simplest way is to limit one per person. no one here deserves it more than anyone else

Let the record show that I am a Christian (believe it or not because I say fuck every once in a while) and I am for same-sex marriage.

I don't normally like to perpetuate the problem this causes in the greater scheme of things, but given that it's almost a given that this will sell out in a matter of minutes, and that a large percentage of these will end up in the hands of flippers, I propose that those of us that are able to order as many as possible for the purpose of redistributing to the inevitable masses of VC'ers that were asleep/didn't hit refresh every 5 seconds/working/etc and end up missing out.

Yeah, I've been seeing (and subsequently ranting about) this more and more lately, unfortunately. But this is the first real instance that I've genuinely wanted to score the overpriced LP in question. That black wax matches the art well, but there's no way the extra 40 grams can justify that price spike. I'm sure it'll sound just as great as the HT press, or any variant for that matter. I'm sticking to my guns and passing on the limited 180 gram, despite loving this album to death and being OCD about variants. Sometimes enough is enough.

with amazon prime though, its always best to just PO now. you can always cancel later and they dont take your money till it ships, so theres no risk involved. i personally dont care for this but im just saying..if youve got amazon prime, if you want it, you might as well go ahead and PO on amazon, and that low price guarantee is rad too. 

I often find myself turned off by bands that proselytize extensively for any one cause. It's even harder to enjoy when they are doing it for a cause you are disinclined to agree with, or outright dislike.

Thanks man. Yeh that was the copy on ebay a while ago. Of course I'll be kicking myself if it eventually comes out/repressed or whatever but the thought was there if it never did, I'd always regret it. So i just bought it. Thrice means a great deal to me so it was justified.
