I've listened to this band very passively, but this new song is really feeling the Meat Wave/Rozwell Kid void in my life right now.

So I got the scoop on Kyle Bann's departure by digging through IG comments, and let's just say it was to due very unsettling circumstances. I don't want to get into the nitty gritty here, but there are plenty of posts on Reddit for those of you who are interested. Regardless, I have spent quite a bit of time with this record now, and I have to admit it's much cooler than I was anticipating. It feels more like an extension of The Pact, but with more empahisis on Leah's vocals opposed to the band's instrumentation. It's definetly different in that regard, but still feels like a Slothrust album. I do wish there were a few more songs like The Next Curse because that one really hearkens back to the Everyone Else days (my favorite album from them). Overall this is a really good record. I also really appreciate how compact it feels, it doesn't overstay it's welcome and plants enough earworns in ya to make you want to replay it all over again as soon as it ends. A top 3 favorite 2021 for sure.

It has been reported new user @Dalecasey has contacted a member offering a sale, but would not provide photos and wanted to use unprotected payment methods (cashapp/apple pay), when pressed by the buyer to provide photos they collected images off of Discogs and tried to pass them off as their own. This user has 0 posts or feedback, and for that reason they have been removed from the boards. If you have been in any form of contact with this individual I strongly suggest you stop and block them if you've moved your conversations to a third party platform. This is extremely suspicious behavior and I'd hate to see any of our members get ripped off.

This record completely slipped my mind, but is still available for pre-sale via bandcamp. Have they shipped out at all or has there been any update about it?

Words cannot describe how fucking happy I am to have Houston and 12 Small Steps... on vinyl! BA is easily a top 2 all time favorite band. My entire style of bass playing is based on Marko 72's lines throughout their discography.

Dude! That fucking SUCKS! Those are gonna be big shoes to fill. He shreds, and contributed a lot to their overall sound :,( I don't have super high hopes for this next record tbh. From the Lisa Frank artwork style to the fact that it's being marketed like a Leah solo album, it seems like it's gonna be a whole LP of Double Down but with a ton of guitar pedal experimentation. I pre-ordered a yellow indie copy from Bull Moose given it was like $16 cheaper than getting the rainbow one from their site, but I'm very skeptical, which really bums me out 😕

Will probably grab that Hold Steady LP, that record is really dark and cool.

Run For Cover's CS fuckin' stinks. I placed in order in late May during whatever sale they were running at the time, they purchased a shipping label for my order but never dispatched it. When I reached out to their CS they told me I have to wait at least 45 days before they will even look into the fucking issue, still got 6 more days to go lol UPDATE: so I ended up opening a PayPal dispute cause I don't even want the damn record at this point, now they're actually offering to help but only if I close the dispute first 😂

My point still stands. They ain't milkin' that one every couple years like they do with the first two LPs (and later EP, apparently Kiss Kise Bang Bang is universally disliked) lol

The shit this band manages to get away with (with 20 year old songs at that) never ceases to amaze me 😂

I'm always down for a 180g record over a standard weight one. Never have issues with surface noise.
