emacs reacted to Shitty Rambo in VNYL
When I think cutting edge technology, I think Peter Frampton records.Let's just say this guy isn't lying and really DID research VNYL, and still subscribed, is that a person with an opinion you'd trust? Plus he's wearing a beanie in June, implying he's disoriented and detached from sanity. Another example; he says they don't have a lot of money, yet they thought it was a good idea to start a tech vlog. That's like being deaf and posting music reviews.

This doesn't pertain to VNYL directly, but it's regarding the Feds stepping in regarding a failed Kickstarter. Interesting that some ramifications are happening when things aren't fulfilled.

you can think whatever the hell you want. I could care less about the last five pages of whining about not getting free stuff. when I started looking at the thread from the Sale post forward, it looks like a mix of multiple conversations. without the benefit of reading back, not something I am interested in doing considering it seems to be 5 pages of b.s., i did think sale orders were being canceled. Total internet fail!! OMG!

Man I really can't agree with that. I support Bernie because of his policies and ideals, not because of his party association. Hillary is so much more centrist than Bernie it's amazing to me that they're both running for the same ticket. This really plays into the trap of the two party system we have now, where people won't vote for a third party because they see it as a wasted vote, and those that do vote for a third party will basically have a wasted vote because of all of those who were afraid to vote. I'd personally much rather vote for someone like Jill Stein than Clinton, or hell even write in Sanders because voting for either Hillary or a GOP candidate would be against my political beliefs. For me, Hillary's policies are closer to the GOP's than they are to Bernie's, and it wouldn't make that much difference whether a republican or Clinton win at that point.

People don't really get the pre-existing condition bit. It's not just for folks with life threatening diseases. Pre-ACA, insurance companies could drop someone for something as manageable and common as asthma. It's ridiculous. These are the things people don't think about when they shit talk healthcare in this country. There's plenty to complain about, but don't start with Obamacare. That isn't the problem.
(That is not directed at you, Bruce. It's in addition to your post!)
Get outta here. Condoms are free. Most insurances cover 100% of erectile dysfunction medications for men... but birth control shouldn't be free?
When I was on birth control (which was because I have a chronic blood disorder - meaning I bleed uncontrollably - meaning I could start my period and never stop until I bled out to death), it cost me $40 a month pre-ACA. Had I not had insurance at all, it would cost me over $1000 a month. Is that ok? Is it ok for insurance to never cover a medication that allows me to not bleed to death?
& That's not even tapping into the whole birth control is cheaper than an unwanted pregnancy for a woman or family who can't afford it and therefore end up on food stamps or other government aid. Like ??? Where's your logic here?

Well yeah, free shit is dope.
But taxes are necessary and they should at least go towards helping the people who pay them. I'd rather my taxes go towards things like government assistance and healthcare. But I live in NY state so I'm fairly certain all my taxes just go towards road work.

It has to do with income.
Like egg said, Obamacare was torn apart in congress. It's not 100% what he wanted but it's what he could get through. How your employer or insurance company reacts is not his fault. They are scumbags who fuck people over and then pass the blame to Obama, don't fall for their bullshit.
Thanks to Obama insurance companies can no longer deny claims for pre-existing conditions. If you don't think that's an amazing thing you're sick in the head and should seek help. Help that will be covered by insurance despite it being a pre-existing condition.

The ACA goes beyond the annual tax and some insurance plans reconfiguring themselves, just an FYI. It's not a perfect law, but congress wouldn't sit still long enough to allow a proper conversation to happen so these loopholes could be fixed. Think outside that and think about all the folks who never had insurance who now do, and those who were dropped bc they were sick (wtf??) no longer have to worry about being dropped. Also, free birth control.
I read a thing from someone's blog about the general election that I want to find and post here. I'm on mobile so I'll look for it when I get home.

Much better healthcare system? Fuck ObamaCare. I've seen more employees lose benefits and companies cut more jobs because of it. Not to mention the bullshit fines for not having insurance.

This wasn't a fly-by-night decision, we've thought about doing this for a loooong time. The general board will always be dedicated to vinyl first and foremost, but you can't deny the interest and discussion of cassettes specifically has greatly increased here more so than other formats. This sub-board exists solely for the users who are interested in the format or want to dabble in it, whereas before all topics were confined to one thread or seemed out of place. Everything will operate the same way it always has. Pinky-promise.tl;dr - sometimes you go to a steak house and order a burger or chicken.

But also guns are dope as fuck. Target shooting is so much fun. I hate guns, but bolt action rifles give me a boner.

Full Discosure: I mainly made this thread to hustle a shirt design a friend and I are selling because I couldn't really find an appropriate thread to post it in.
However, I'd also like to share with those who might not know much about Bernie how great he is, and why you should support him over Clinton if you lean further left than to the middle if anyone is interested in such a discussion. I was surprised after doing a search that there hasn't been much talk of him on here.
