  1. Same as everyone else bassically. I would say I enjoyed the singles most, 4-5 others we're good, and the rest were like "Huh." At least listening to the stream on Spotify I honestly didn't think the mixing was great either. Seemed really stripped back.
  2. Agh. Still haven't got mine yet. Want to order wayyyy too many of these things.
  3. Saw Spartan Records comment on someone's instagram that they went without gatefold to mimic the 1st pressing. Still worth it for the price as it does have that nice full color book.
  4. Nope. I still dig their stuff. They do cling to their classics sometimes though. Still super relevant though.
  5. More Anti-Flag is always welcome in my collection. I'll probably have to wait till after Christmas for this one though. Don't imagine it will sell out before then… hopefully.
  6. Definitely, I mean even if the case and boombox are $100 of that price, the cassettes are still like $12 each, which is double what some labels put them out at.
  7. Two new tracks. They performed 3 tracks on Little Elephant. http://clrvynt.com/old-gray-slow-burn-premieres/ Two new tracks. They performed 3 tracks on Little Elephant. http://clrvynt.com/old-gray-slow-burn-premieres/
  8. Sad say. Let's hope a standard 2xLP pressing. What I'm assuming: "Me and your Mamma" is just a tease for everyone to say "this is cool." Then when the album drops, he'll have a VR version you have to buy in app to pay back the guy who had to develop the app. The 2xLP will probably include a "Special" Google Cardboard housing and then give you free access to all the contents of the app. EDIT: Which is silly because theres no way I get to keep the contents of the app 5 years from now unless he's smart and has them as 360 movie files, which even VLC can play back these days.
  9. Side-tracking the thread but I really like to watch YouTube videos where High Schoolers give you a tour of "their record collection". You mostly get like 20-30 new titles and then 30-40 old titles their parents gave them. When I feel like burning the world, that's what I watch.
  10. I had to laugh at this just a little. As modern-vinyl pointed out, the Boom-Box included is a $21 version from Wal-Mart that just has some stickers flipped around. So once you subtract that it's about $17 a Cassette. https://www.walmart.com/ip/41047655?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&adid=22222222227028610791&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=61285207089&wl4=pla-88941084297&wl5=9006368&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=41047655&wl13=&veh=sem
  11. Yeah shout out to 1234 Go! I grabbed both of the releases I wanted from them. Obviously they don't have unlimited stock, but it's worth looking. Also Melody Supreme saved my butt last RSD so give them a go. Iron Maiden is there as well. http://www.melodysupreme.org/rsd-black-friday-2016-list/page/2/
  12. You guys tear it up. I was out of town today with family so wasn't able to make it to a record store, but grabbed both the Death by Stereo and Wynston Marsalis releases from you guys. Huge thanks.
  13. I'll really have to give this single another go. I loved all three Jack's Mannequin albums and the first 2 are in my top 5 most important albums. Yet somehow AM managed to take out all the minute punk facets that interested me and made it unique. Now it's just repetitive and catchy pop music. Will give it another listen, though.
  14. .....there are really too many sessions that are amazing to decide. BTW they announced on instagram today that the first 25 orders will be cut on clear vinyl. Ordered TWIABP and Modern Baseball. Was debating on a handful more.... christmas gifts?
  15. New song. A whopping 52 seconds. Still pretty good though. http://www.stereogum.com/1911367/old-gray-blunt-trauma/premiere/ New song. A whopping 52 seconds. Still pretty good though. http://www.stereogum.com/1911367/old-gray-blunt-trauma/premiere/
  16. That's all fine with me. I just want it in some easy to find location. I'm hearing it from a guy on a forum who heard it from Facebook because someone went and asked them about it. Very Ferris Bueler esque. That stinks if true. Was really hoping for new music from the same lineup.
  17. So are there any BWM releases that weren't delayed? I still haven't gotten my Deer Leep LPs either. They marked it as "Shipped" on the 1st of this month and it hasn't moved since. Then there's this as well..... which I've listened to exactly once because I figured it would be here sooner.
  18. I'm supposed to be getting mine tomorrow. Looking forward to it because I've honestly only listened to this maybe 4 times now? Impressed every time but I always like to sit down with it first.
  19. Got an email from them saying they were having a crazy sale. Some good punk stuff around there. It's 15 tapes for $25 or 20 for $30 http://www.lauren-records.com/products/581444-20-cassette-bundle
  20. They teased a bunch of jumbled names on instagram yesterday and said there was more today. Jeff Rosenstock and a handful more in there. EDIT: and they are live Wave 4 (11-9-16) Bring Us: Bears and Company Broken Beak Chris Farren Daisyhead Dikembe Jeff Rosenstock John Galm Laura Stevenson Myles Cone and The Rusty Nickel Band Ovlov Restorations Secret Stuff Soul Low. Sundressed I still need to grab a bunch of these, especially that Sundressed and Dikembe Session
  21. Yes yes a thousand times yes. I understand that there's a nostalgia to the current process, where it's been done the same way for a long time, but innovation could really be used on records. If it's cheaper, yet sounds the same, I'm all in, even if it means we lose colored records.
  22. Submit your article to Alt Press, you can probably make a few bucks.
  23. The show isn't till January, so we probably won't know until much closer to then. My guess: $60 or $70.
  24. If you happened to be collecting records then, sure. I was out of the U.S. in 2012. Compare that to the $120 minimum now. Big packages like this, in limited quantities, will easily double in value. So it's great to pretend that it's for the fans that want it, but the odds are that there will be fans that won't be able to grab a package and consequently will never realistically be able to able own this album on vinyl. Chamberlain for ASB president 2020. My pitch: "Affordable vinyl for all!"
