  1. I hadn't thought about the price when posting, it is a bit of a markup when the standard black is still available. But at least it's not associated with RSD.
  2. I guess I would put them in this order, pretty different. But the last 3 are kind of equal to me. Guess I never did spend that much time with those except for Uncle Tony's Coloring Book which just sounded kind of cheap following the first 2 classics. 1. Music by Cavelight 2. Downtown Science 3. The Music Scene 4. Interludes After Midnight 5. Uncle Tony's Coloring Book 6. Bells and Whistles
  3. $25 https://store.touchandgorecords.com/collections/frontpage/products/pinback-autumn-of-the-seraphs-10th-anniversary-limited-edition-hq180-burgundy-vinyl September 2017 marks the 10th anniversary of Pinback's album Autumn of the Seraphs, and we're celebrating! In honor of the special occasion, Touch and Go Records will release a limited edition pressing of Autumn of the Seraphs on 180 gram burgundy vinyl. How limited is "limited"? Less than 500 copies!?!?! These color vinyl copies of AotS will only be available through the Touch and Go Records web store and at the merch table at Pinback's upcoming shows. Pre-Order now and don't miss your chance to own this special anniversary edition of Autumn of the Seraphs. When they're gone, they're gone...
  4. Blockhead is great, although the quality of his work dropped pretty sharply after Downtown Science IMHO. The Music Scene from 2009 is the one I've liked most since. Still looking forward to checking this one out.
  5. OCS - Memory of a Cut Off Head (November 17) Another album, another name change. Back to basics? I like the sound of this folkiness and I suspect it would entirely be this hushed. And if it is, great. Very 60s. 01 “Memory Of A Cut Off Head” 02 “Cannibal Planet” 03 “The Baron Sleeps And Dreams” 04 “The Remote Viewer” 05 “On & On Corridor” 06 “Neighbor To None” 07 “The Fool” 08 “The Chopping Block” 09 “Time Tuner” 10 “Lift A Finger” Midheaven preorder: https://midheaven.com/item/memory-of-a-cut-off-head-by-ocs
  6. Single sounds cool. I basically stopped listening to them after Pork Soda though - went back to Tales From the Punchbowl eventually but I think I only tried it once. I do like Les' work with Lennon though. I'll check this out when it's out.
  7. Yep yep, very solid record. I need to revisit X'ed Out and Patagonian Rats. I remember preferring X'ed Out, as they sounded more comfortable with the inclusion of vocals by that point. Patagonian Rats was kind of a hot mess.
  8. Hey this is out today, what do y'all think? Steaming on Spotify for the first time now. Dig it.
  9. Holy shit what?! I'll be damned. I discovered these guys in 92 when I moved from Chicago burbs to Houston burbs - fell in love immediately. Wish I still had my t-shirt from back then. Never got to see them live unfortunately. Really curious to hear what they sound like now. The artwork is terrible compared to their old albums, particularly the Pushead cover for Peaceful Death and Pretty Flowers, but even the Horsecore cover which had a certain raw, low-fi, metal kids hanging out in the woods feel. This artwork is like that cheesy new Danzig cover or Goblin Cock which is intentionally bad. I may have to cop one of their old 666 shirts online.
  10. Fuck yes, mine came in today although tracking was telling me it wouldn't arrive till Monday. Yes, the sleeve is tight for 2 LPs - even with one of the inner sleeves empty as LP 1 is on the platter, it's tight. But the paper quality and inner sleeves are nice. I don't see that this is worth throwing a fit over. I'll just store the inner sleeves/records in the bag as it was shipped. I do want to say that when I pulled the LPs out of the inner sleeves it felt/sounded like sandpaper. I may store them in different sleeves.
  11. Yeah I love having to flip just once. I played the new 2LP over the weekend and was struggling to EQ it properly at first - couldn't get it to sound good. I stopped messing with it and I guess I got used to it, but I need to compare it to the OP - should have done so after the first song.
  12. In that case, maybe Ogilala was his son's first word. Song is decent but I'm not buying a damn thing till I hear this in full. If I get around to it. Truthfully haven't bothered with much Corgan/Pumpkins stuff at all in a long time. Adore was the last thing I really liked. I listened to Machina I and Zeitgeist once or twice each, Oceana once. That's pretty much it.
  13. It is really good and has immense replay value. Usually I space out my listens with their albums but I've played this one 3 times since Friday. I kinda wish it was a little longer - but I'd rather be left wanting more than thinking something is too long. Can't wait to pick it up on vinyl.
  14. Shit I was thinking with a shipping notification last Friday, I'd probably have it by end of week but USPS estimates Monday August 28. I'll be on a business trip from the 27th to the 31st! This is sad news - hope it arrives early for the weekend.
  15. I didn't see it yesterday when I was record shopping. Reminds me of when A Weird Exits came out, I had ordered colored variants from Castle Face and Rough Trade but they shipped too close to release and I picked up a black one locally to hold me over. Still have it, keep forgetting to give it to a friend or sell it to a shop.
  16. Alright then, not wasting any money ordering online and will pick it up locally when it's out. I'll be quite surprised if they don't do other variants by Sept/Oct considering the number of variants they've done in the past.
  17. Is the LP not hitting shelves until next week? That was the original release date I was aware of, I'm just thrown off by the digital release/stream today. Not seeing it on any of my local shops' websites. And no word of an indie variant this time around?
  18. I also thought it was out next week on the 25th. I thought that about King Gizz too, but I was proven wrong there.
  19. I'm surprised this thread only went up today and that there still isn't a pre-order considering it's out next Friday. As I've done for the recent King Gizzard albums, I'll just pick up the indie store variant locally. Looking forward to it!
  20. Glad to hear it! It's taking upwards of A MINUTE to load pages the last few days. Dial-up speeds at best!
  21. Wish that Duds LP was available already for a combined order. But really I went through checkout as fast as I could anyway so I probably wouldn't have taken the time to add other things to my cart.
  22. Goddamn these variant names, can't tell what's what. Orc Skeined Water Poisonous Bloom Gilden Axehead Snagged a Poisonous Bloom, thanks to lethalenforcer's post above indicating it was the red one.
  23. I do wish they were shipping the presale/tour edition instead of having to pick it up at the show. Hopefully I can grab it at the end of the show without hassle/long waits.
