something else that nobody else touched on--I like getting download codes for tape exclusive releases. that way I can still have a physical copy, support the band, and listen to the release digitally in my car or on my ipod at work.

If there's two things I love about tapes it's hand-numbered and cool looking artwork/shells

• Start small at first. Probably smaller than 100, unless it's an album that you know 100 people who buy cassettes will want.
• Dub tapes yourself. It's a lot cheaper than getting a minimum of 100 tapes professionally manufactured that you're probably not going to move quickly enough initially.
• Individually number things. People like that.
• Anything you can do to make the tapes visually stand out, do it: alternate art, cool looking tapes, colored cases, nice j-cards, etc.

This is true. Would buy.
In all seriousness, I don't operate a label, but I buy from a lot of labels. I don't think it's a bad idea to help people out. Rambo can probably tell you how much money you aren't going to make and time you'll devote to it. I still think it's worth it. I like cassettes of music I enjoy. I've been recording some vinyl to cassette in order to make listening to albums a little more convenient for when I'm not actively sitting by the turntable. Bonus: if it helps your friends out, they will be ever appreciative.

Tip: release anything Brand New so much as farted on and you will get people who don't even own cassette players buying in bulk.

All of this. The only advice I could give you is to try and keep all your projects one-to-one with the artist/band. Doing everything yourself takes a lot of time, but it's nice not having to rely on anyone else (duplication services, companies who assemble the entire cassette for you and take all the fun out of this).

I recommend starting a label if you are fond of
crying losing lots of money being broke realizing 100 is way more than you thought realizing 50 is way more than you thought not having any money having endless stacks of cardboard boxes and bubblewrap strewn across the house bankruptcy okay so there's bubblewrap and that sounds fun but tears -

It's expensive to send a single lp to Canada. Just for a record under 1 lb. it's $11, plus any packing materials. At least that's how much it costs when I ship using my shipping program. $2.99 for US isn't bad I guess if you're just ordering 1 or 2 records, but for anything more it seems pretty high.

Big thanks for posting I grabbed 35 albums and my shipping was only $12.95! Again, thanks for posting, I knew I was going to blow all the xmas cash on records somehow. You provided the somehow

I still think it's a great deal. Their vinyl is usually already cheaper than most.
I got Mellon Collin plus 3 other LPs for $130 shipped.
Pretty stoked on that

So dangerous. Thankfully, the atrocious Canadian dollar is keeping me away...for now...
Some really good prices with that discount though...I might not stay away for long...

CCMusic - 25% off orders over $50 -- JAN1650

I don't think shipping "went up" on everything. They appear to be charging more for items of a certain weight. I played around a little bit and could add 10 single LPs with no shipping increase, but anytime I added a 2xLP it seemed to jump by about $1.

Love CCMusic. Got 10 LPs including Illinoise, Nevermind, two Neil Young, two Grateful Dead, Koi No Yakan, 7seconds, Joy Division, and Boards of Canada for $139 shipped. Score

I will post something good, because I want to be the very best, like no one ever was.
When I was in grade school I used to play Pokemon on this kid Neil's old school Game Boy and Super Gameboy while he talked about Soccer. I finally got a Game Boy Color when they first came out and totally had solid purple (solid and clear purple were the first ones to come out) but I didn't care. I bought Pokemon blue, a cable link and the Gameshark. I also had Pokemon Master as my occupation on MySpace back in the day, and I am not ashamed to admit it. And I still don't personify your distaste for post-2012 VC.

I posted a while back, but after that I kept over analyzing what I wasn't happy with until I changed everything around to my liking, I think... Getting some of my framed gig posters up was nice as they have been in storage for a while now. Small apartments don't help when you're trying to make a specific "nook", but I tried...

I have a wonderful music room. I also just found out we are having twins.
My music room now has a shelf life.... Pun intended lol

When my GF got these shelves built, I looked at them, and said I will never fill these (my collection at that time filled about 6-7 holes).
Things escalated quickly.

Nothing special. Probably gonna replace those A5's with Wharfedale Dentons with some stands, have a couple stacks of LPs hiding throughout the room I could put in those two cubes where the speakers are.
