The simple solution here is to just support independent labels and artists. Those smaller labels are the ones that put out great releases at reasonable prices and offer great customer service.
Don't get me wrong: I love thrice and I ordered this. However, I never get a kink in my boner when it 1) costs too much 2) takes too long or 3) becomes a flagrant service issue when I'm preordering from an insanely popular band via a giant distro company. It should be expected at this point, and not surprise anyone.

I know that everyone in their brother is asking for stuff, but I would love you forever if you could snag a print for me. Missed them in SF last night thanks to work. :-(

So for those who maybe don't understand:
Travis is a vinyl BUYER. He literally purchases the items for HT that we - in turn - purchase at a retail cost.
He is NOT:
- a shipping specialist
- an IT personel, responsible for any e-commerce issues (I.e. when an item shows up online, shipping costs, etc.)
- a customer service representative
He is a fellow collector who has the ability to hook us up with the inside scoop for certain releases. He could just as easily stop letting us know when certain LPs are coming...because that is also not likely a part of his job!
Untwist your panties, and buy it when it's available! This is not Hot Topic records, this is a large corporation with lots of people handling lots of different facets of retail.

I haven't made much of a fuss over the matter that I am owed a few bucks from the almighty Virgil (mostly because I know that my debt is an ant hill compared to that of others), however I am feeling pretty pissed right now.
If you have the balls to steal my records and not pay me for them, please avoid selling them on eBay several years later.

Hopefully the alleged deluxe edition is just the album (CD or vinyl) and the coffeetable book. I don't need any extra added-on useless shit like has been the trend as of late w/ deluxe super duper limited editions of releases...

I don't know Flood from the next guy on here, but what you AREN'T seeing is that there are 582 other people who are bombarding him with questions and favors and refunds, etc. He also has to field info from SRC, their customers, the USPS, Office Depot (for supplies), Bags Unlimited (for mailers and inserts), plus the pressing plant. Not to mention that there are other releases besides this ONE that are happening.
Point being: calm thyself. It's like $20.
