The Bell Jar is a new project that Josh, Patrick, and Garrett have been working on, I'm not sure if anyone else is part of it. It's much louder, I'd say sounding much more in line with their Life/Kisses days than anything, but way more synth-heavy. I've only a few songs and they're pretty cool, but also very early demo stage.

To start? Get yourself a french press, read a bit on how to use it, head down to your local small-time coffee shop or roaster, tell them exactly what you wrote there, and ask for help picking a coffee. A quick google search for Dallas says "Crooked Tree Coffeehouse", "Oak Lawn Coffee", and "Murray Street Coffee" are all rated pretty high, or just do a bit of your own research to find a place that looks good to you.

When you decide on a bag of coffee, chances are they can grind it there for you - tell them you use a french press, and they'll pick the right setting for you; it will be course grind. Coffee will always taste best when it's freshly ground right before you use it, but setting yourself up with a proper grinder and other things can be a pretty hefty investment, so having the whole bag ground in advance will do just fine for what you want.

Again, do a bit of research on how to use your press, measure out your coffee, and time it properly. Leaving the coffee in the press for too long will over-extract and give you a gross bitter taste. Taking it too soon will leave the coffee a bit weak and watery. Play with it a bit, find something you like. Fair warning - the coffee that you make will likely taste strong and harsh, and it's pretty possible you'll hate it. There's nothing wrong with adding sugar and dairy to your coffee if that's what you like, so go for it. Do me a favor, though, and every time you make a cup of coffee, taste it first just black, without adding anything. Do this every time, just a little sip. Over time I think you'll find yourself enjoying it with less dairy/sugar.

I'm a barista at an espresso bar, and this is my ideal customer - someone who comes in not knowing anything at all, but is excited to learn and will really listen to any advice I can give or anything else I have to say.

In the Ultimate Deja story arc, Jesse Lacey died and was replaced by the band's guitar tech Steve Camacho. He was the one who woke Adam Lazzara from the Infinity Springs and started the Quadruple Crown label which started the Deja Entendu Repress Civil War. Camacho's son, Hurley, ends up becoming the leader of PPL MVR and records a Daisy cover album to bring Jesse Lacey back from the dead as Vision Lacey (The Emoter).

Weird to see another person here a) living in Hali and b) buying Bazan records. I'll also vouch for Toki being an a+ dude and he would give those records a great home.

When I approached Travis about doing a HT exclusive Aquabats vinyl splatter series, he turned his laptop screen toward me and said "To prove you aren't a VC cop, sell one of the test presses for $100+ on eBay without telling the band." I refused. So, Travis snapped his fingers and his muscle emerged from the shadows and dragged me out. It was a harrowing experience.

U guys are judging us who want to spend $18 to hear Silly Ross play tribute versions of our favorite songs from Doig. But it's u who are the ones who have to pay the largest cost, as your soul can not be healthy with this hate in yor heart. You tell us what to do but u are the ones who are afraid to look in the mirror...because you know you want to buy these but you are afraid to be who u are.

To those of you citing the thousands of dollars you spend on vinyl every year as an excuse for stealing music, remember to subtract the vinyl you buy on the secondary market and the amount you profit when you sell vinyl that has increased in value.

I work at a record store and last year when we opened the doors, a flood of wild creatures stampeded into the shop- gorillas, alligators, antelopes, chimpanzees, large birds. I knew we should never have played that mysterious game.

How dare you, this release should be reserved exclusively for the real fans, and by picking it up out of curiosity you're successfully keeping it out of the hands of the real people who deserve it and have waited years for this. Leave it alone.

I woke up at 5am for work on the east coast (I couldn't stay up till midnight for when it went on sale) to pickup the tri-color vinyl and it was already sold out.  It sold out so fast because it released at 9pm on the west coast.

So I bought the standard blue one. I expect the standard blue to sell out today.

You did, but shipping put it too far out of my price range (which isn't your fault, it's the postal service). Hoping that someone out there will have a cheaper quote for me. I do still appreciate it though!

That's not what I meant. Typically I can get 1-3 records shipped to me between $10-$15 (No Idea's calculator says around $13 for 2 2xLPs). Some packages I've received have had shipping a bit lower than that posted to it, some have had up to the $20 you were asking. I'm not trying to get someone to take a loss for me, I'm just hopeful that someone is able to find a cheaper option than you found.
If I can get the two records including shipping to me somewhere in the $30-$35 range, I'd be all over it. Your asking price was just a bit too much for me, but would have been a totally fair price for someone in the States.
