  1. There isn't such a thing as European cuisine, for the simple reason Europe is a made up thing. French has a decent kitchen, Italian is amazing too, some great restaurants all over the Netherlands that only serve Italian. Best thing the Netherlands has and that you can't really get in the rest of Europe is Indonesian food, Dutch people love it. Try to steer away from Indonesian/Chinese fusion restaurants tho.
  2. I was reading about Vantablack the other day: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vantablack Now I am wondering how awesome it would be if we would get vinyl that gets colored with Vantablack. It might looks something like this:
  3. Definitely, rare stuff can be traded, especially American only stuff by major artist is a good call. Think major artist, but also more specialist stuff as old US punk/hardcore etc. Also be sure to consider bringing back old Dutch beat and psychedelic rock (Shocking Blue etc.) and compilation records of major artist such as Genesis/Phil Collins/Beatles/Stones/Queen/Bowie, especially different or special artwork, those are often just a euro or two, if you dig a bit, but can give you 10 to 20 bucks in store credit in the USA.
  4. All depends were you are eating, if you expect spicy food you are out of luck. But there are roughly 100 Michelin star restaurants to chose from. Which is relatively high seeing the size of the country.
  5. I go every other year, because mostly I end up spending way to much money. On average prices are a tad higher than on Discogs, but you will save on shipping. Also I often find stuff I never seen before and aren't listed on Discogs. Plus there are so many high ticket items to choose from, rare 70's Springsteen singles, they are there, Dischord, Revelation classic are for sale, booths filled with Japanse/South American/South Africa pressings. The list goes on. I do find a few good to very good deals if you take the time the whole day to search as much booths as possible, you just have to dig and be a bit lucky. 2nd press Bad Brains - Pay To Cum for 40 bucks. Green Day slappy EP on green for 10 bucks, which sold for 430 three days later. Quicksand - Slip LP for 5 bucks. Inside Out 7" on blue for 2 bucks. Ray and Porcell 7" out of 100 for 1 buck. A few of the ones that stood out for me.
  6. The legendary kings of the catchy poppunk will release their full length album “Until We Hit The Shore” on April 21st. The new song that just got released got me all stoked, just like hearing them for the first time in 1997. Perfect song for the summer. Travoltas - Dying To Do That With You video Pre-oders are live now for both the CD and LP. 100 copies on blue vinyl avialible here: http://whiterussianrecords.nl/site/?product_cat=preorders
  7. In Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency in the pilot episode, you will notice a Nation of Ulysses - 13-Point Program to Destroy America LP laying around.
  8. In the movie Argo, someone at the US Embassy put on Led Zeppelin IV and my favourite song When The Leevee Breaks starts playing, which is totally annoying since it is the last song of the b-side of the LP and you can clearly see then put the needle on the outside of the record.
  9. Be prepared to camp in front of the record store for weeks in advance.
  10. I heard some records have been ordering stuff already, so weird the list hasn't leaked yet.
  11. This also explains the large delay of the Swiz discography record. I know the test pressed have been made years ago.
  12. So stoked for this! Waiting for this for years now! So good to finally see it happen. Kind of wish they would use the original artwork for Their Greatest Adventures, but hey can't have it all.
  13. My main bulk isn't one artist, but I do have a few artist with a rather large back catalogue that I try to collect. This leads to have triple digits amount of records from a single artist in some cases.
  14. So excited about this, tried to talk them into releasing this on vinyl a few years ago but those talks ended up into nothing. But I am happy the finally will. Also only One For The Money was released on vinyl before, the rest wasn't available before on vinyl. Now we just need Both EP's to be released as 7"s and maybe the excellent 2005 demo on a 7" too. Plus I would love to have the Acoustic live show from Lowlands festival 1996 to be pressed on vinyl too.
  15. 1. Those are not random image, like almost all Smiths releases and a lot of the Morrissey outings, the images/still was choosing from 50 and 60's movies, celebraties and artists. 3. Why did HMV/Victor reinstated the old logo for the Morrissey releases? Well Morrissey wanted it. Sames goes for those singles on Decca, they did return to the old 60's design of the labels for the Morrissey singles. 4. Well I did show up on those Warner lists from that Slovenian distributor, also I got confirmation from my local record store it was available for pre-order from their local distributor. So no I don't have the president of Warner given me a written testimony on the legitimateness of this release. But there are clear indications that something was in production. Are you aware how the record industry works in Europe? I didn't paid a lot for it, (retail plus shipping from a foreign country) but I would like confirmation it is real since I get annoyed with everyone making assumptions it is fake, only because it fits their story/truth more for obvious reasons without giving solid proof why it is fake. If it turns out to be a cancelled/pulled release then cool, if it us regular release, that will regular available that would be great too, regardless if the current market value will drop. If it is a bootleg that would be kind of sad, since I for fell for it, but hats off to the bootlegger for making such of a convincing bootleg.
  16. How about they pressed these up and it got pulled at the last minute or they decided to save them for RSD or the death of the Queen or something else? But a few boxes did got shipped out to distributors? This has happened before on several occasions, one of the most notable one is the Bruce Springsteen - Point Blank 7". It got pulled, since the new record was almost done, but a few boxes of singles did end up with representatives of CBS and in several Dutch stores.
  17. Can you explain this? Why does it scream bootleg? Why are you pretty sure, do you work for Warner Bros? I have a copy and I am 99,9% certain it is real. Also because I knew something was brewing already since my local record store ordered copies from their distributor, but that order was never fulfilled. Also both front and back picture have been used by Morrissey recently during his live shows. The way the names and instruments are written the same way as on the Sweet and Tender Hooligan 12", which was designed by Morrissey back in the day. The sounds is great and mastered perfectly, plus it sounds like a very nicely done edit of the title track. Label design is similar to the classic Warner singles from the late 1950's. But most of all, everything feels and looks real, I have been collecting vinyl for two decades now, so I have seen a lot of counterfeits en bootlegs over the years NO weird matrix scratch outs, fuzzy printing of the sleeve or labels, weird spelling mistakes in titles or names op people, or crappy source material used as source.
  18. RSD NL just posted a quote from Beatles - We Can Work Out on their IG account.
  19. I think The Max Years would be even more accurate. I think Igor played on 4! of the post-Max records too.
  20. Will this be a USA only release? Will probably be way to expensive to import to Europe.
  21. I always make sure, I keep it under 22 euros. Plus I am not against paying tax if I have too, but those ridiculous clearing fees make it too shitty.
