You've made a few critical errors here.  One, thinking a $10 Stanton turntable was good investment.  Two, thinking you knew how to set up a turntable better than a professional.  Three, coming here for help.

I can speak with experience, telling your wife to "suck it up" probably wouldn't be helpful.

If you live in the suburbs places like hot topic are all you have. If you live in a city there is probably an actual record store you can go to. If you live on a farm you buy records off eBay.

if someone posts a new or duplicate topic.. just ignore it, go outside or something. stop thinking you're anything special because you've been collecting records for a week longer than someone. Its just douchey to shit on someone thats trying to enjoy a new hobby, and overly annoying for those of us who have been here since this shit started.

On a more serious and less inflammatory note, I think Jason Tate is genuinely confusing what people are upset about. People understand that records cost money. People understand that record labels and bands are trying to make a profit. What people don't understand is why labels feel the need to jack up the prices to absurd levels. The margins on these must be insane. What sucks is that people (myself included) will pay these crazy prices and therefore labels are getting the impression that these are "good" prices.
 
I wish I had the mental fortitude to say "I don't need these Jimmy Eat World albums, I own the CDs and have a premium Spotify account," but I don't.

After watching the video on Kickstarter, I think this is targeted solely at absolute retards.

I feel like this should get the infomercial treatment: Start with a black and white clip of some guy clumsily turning knobs and the tangling cables on a larger amplifier, then cut to full HD as the same guy coolly adjusts the volume on a Sprout amplifier while smiling awkwardly and nodding in approval. 
 
Not trying to say anything bad about the amplifier, just their advertising tactic. 

It wasn't too bad. Bottom corner was a little bent and where the big rip is there's about a 3 inch scratch in the sleeve. It plays fine, so eff it. 

yea, I hadn't seen him since highshool (13 years ago) and he was really annoying on facebook. Talked shit about our hometown in a holier than thou way all the time. Bragged about himself all the time. He also left facebook for like a year, came back and posted. "I am back on facebook, looks like I didn't miss anything".....So then when he posted GOT spoilers it was the last straw.    Here are some of the things I "missed", but thanks for putting me in my place   Guys, will you please check your spelling before posting things.. Where and were do not mean the same thing   The lifting and strength training has begun. Weight may come back up a little, but no adjustment to low carb/paleo, so we shall see. Strength and muscle will return!   Kicking ass on low carb. My laziness is what prevents me from listening to records compared to just throwing something on my sonos. So yea, having to get up every time I want to hear a different song is pretty lame. Plus I never know if I need to jump up real fast to take care of my daughter/wife/dog/cats. I think I have less than 25 7" and around 150 LP's.
 
Plus like others have said, I care less about the fidelity of my music the more it gets into the metal/hardcore/punk realm.

my room mates cat is in heat and yelps for about 23423423 hours a day no matter how many times I tell it to shut the fuck up, worst part when i asked him if he wanted to get it fixed he said no, he wants it to have kittens, so when I asked him if he knew of male cat he said no hes got something up his sleeve, which makes me think hes going to fuck his cat, which would make a lot of sense why the cat wont shut the fuck up

I am not sympathetic to misgendered people wanting to be called whatever they want. I see the world in many shades of grey and can see both sides of pretty much any argument. But when I see white, and someone tells me that it is in fact black because they choose to be black I disregard them as being crazy to keep my own sanity. Maybe I am just a rube/idiot/bigot, and if so then so be it. Sometimes I feel like we have come a long way as a human race and have a long ways to go, and sometimes I feel like we are too PC for our own good. 
 
I do not discriminate or try to put anyone down, and wish and hope for everyone to live their life as they choose as long as it does not hurt myself or others. 
 
To say "it" is just hurtful and mean and I do not see any humor in it.
