    Hey!
I know that this is a time where a lot of small businesses are asking people to donate to this or fund me for that...
we are not asking that of you..
Limited to One in NYC has done a collab sneaker w/ Vans with the proceeds going directly to the shop...

Heres what we have to say below..

"We are so proud to announce that we are a VANS Foot The Bill Partner! In collaboration with shop fav David Orellana, we have designed and released a special edition Limited To One sneaker. This is a dream come true for us! All net proceeds go back to help our small business, so when you buy a pair you are helping us keep the lights on and ensuring that we come back with a bang when this pandemic is over. For net proceeds to go directly to our store, you must keep the Limited To One design on the front of your shoe, everything else is fully customizable. Shoe quantity is limited so buy a pair before they are gone.
It would mean so much to us if you wanted to repost this and let the world know about this opportunity to help out a small businesses like our own. #LTOxVansFootthebill

Once again..  Our SNEAKER is located HERE.

if you're not interested, no biggie.  if you are check it out.
feel free to check us out at @limitedtoonenyc   (we've also been selling a ton of punk / hc / indie vinyl on our IG for the past few weeks, if you're interested)

yeah I was surprised how much Mike's vocals were re-done. like really surprised.  I remember buying an old A3 vhs / maybe dvd and it was unwatchable because of how his vocals didn't match the images.  it was truly distracting..

(also that being said, I still bought it in a heartbeat.  )

I know a lot of stores are doing documentary rentals to make some extra dough. If yours isn't I have 2 different ones here:
    Redscroll: (Other Music)
    https://othermusic.vhx.tv/checkout/redscroll-records-presents-other-music/purchase

    Limited to One: (Vinyl Nation)
    https://m.bpt.me/event/limited-to-one/4567320
Vinyl Nation is brand new, so this one is pretty big. Other Music has been out, but it's supposed to be really good. Two great ways to support 2 cool stores.

Hey! Weird time everyone is having, huh?
I wanted to create a little space to share our own local shop's webstores (and horror stories about how detrimental this all is) just in case anyone wants to buy something to help keep them afloat.
I know my local is selling via Discogs

Feel free to share yours here. Maybe through the power of boredom and the internet we can help save a store or two.
    Stay safe!

The shops in Greenpoint are where I spend most of my time. Best are Record Grouch, Captured Tracks and Academy Annex, but there are a couple others that can be covered in between if you have time. All pretty close together, and Peter Pan Donuts is excellent for a coffee break.
Rough Trade in nearby Williamsburg is fine, but I rarely buy new stuff at a store and that’s all they do.
The only shops I’ve liked in Manhattan for used selection are Other Music (now closed) and Ltd to 1. Everywhere else, the prices tend to be stupid.

Limited To One, Academy Annex and Generations are all the correct answers, but I also wanted to recommend Black Gold in Cobble Hill. Combination record store/coffee shop in a really cool part of Brooklyn that has a relatively small but well curated selection of mostly used stuff.

I am a bit partial (since I own LTO) but in our hood (east village, manhattan) you can hit four more different record stores.  there's Turntable Lab (lots of new stuff, great hip hop selection and have some cool store exclusives, no used tho.), there's us (down the street from ttl)... then Academy 12th street (it's a good shop that have some cool used stuff but sometimes it'll be hit or miss to find something you're looking for..),  Stranded Records (which used to be Good Records but changed owners)..  they're good for like soul, hip hop, world and some other rock but not a ton of used contemporary.  and then there's A1, this is definitely a great place to find a real gem however, they don't really take care of their stock and you're definitely going to have to get on your hands and knees to find some good stuff.  (I bought a misfits record from them for my collection like five years ago, it cost me 80 dols and it was on the wall without a sleeve on it..).  and it sounds like you know about us..  so thanks for that.

Brooklyn has some great spots..  but one place I didn't see mentioned recently was Material World (used to be Heaven St.)..  they have some awesome punk / metal and underground stuff,.  Also Brooklyn Record Exchange is new and is co owned by some people who used to run CoOp 87 back in the day.  (he was also in the screamo band Funeral Diner)...  however I don't see them getting lots of newer contemporary used in either..  but to go there once and awhile, you're bound to find some awesome shit for cheap.

    hope that helps.
