Gvzr got a reaction from erasedtapes in PO NOW: Snail Mail - Lush LP
I definitely regret ordering. It looks like salt bae threw in those "blue" pellets.

Thats about the same as Fat Cats price. I'm guessing it's higher due to the BC fees. Who knows.

Yes, if it says 2018 repress, you should be good. They repressed Fourteen... (red) and Nobody... (clear) but I had to message them to make sure they were the coloured versions. They will be repressing them again in 2019 at some point. We Were Promised Jetpacks "These Four Walls" has been repressed 3 times now with this latest red variant.

Hey guys! Getting all your records packed up today and should hopefully get them to the post office before work! I'll have your tracking numbers for you afterwards. Thanks for being patient! The semester ended Friday and I had some assignments to get in under the buzzer, but I pulled off another 4.0 somehow.
Thanks so much for being patient, you're going to flip when you see these

That's legit customer care. I've encountered a few nice folks from small labels that have done the same.

Gvzr got a reaction from Tommy in PO Now: American Football - LP3 (3/22/2019)
Seems they were listening to alot of Slowdive in the process of writing. Almost seems like a emo-gaze or a "dreamo" track. Copyright pending.

Well that lasted like ten seconds. I'm in love with this new single. I don't feel confident enough to preorder right now but judging by the aftermarket prices of the early bird LP2, I shouldn't have too hard a time getting one later if I want it.

hahaha yeah I can see how my post would have been mis-interpreted. I was confused on the remaster myself, as they never announced it until like a week or 2 ago. I never noticed. But I did notice myself liking the album A LOT more since about that time, whenever I'd put it on Bandcamp. So maybe that's why hahaha

Package came today! I likely won't have any time to get to this until at least next week, as it is Finals week next week and I will be slammed with studying and papers. But rest assured, they're here!!! I'm hoping maybe Tuesday I can start digging in a little bit because I know we're all waiting, so I will do my best to get them all out ASAP!!!!

Wait, hold up. Can you elaborate on what’s going on with this remastered audio? For as good as the album is, the mastering really is wonky and leaves a bit to be desired. Did the band feel the same way? Why do two vinyl presses before addressing that? I don’t get it. Is a third press going to feature updated audio? Because that’s a bit of a bummer for those of us who dropped $35 to grab a copy on vinyl – or more if you sprung for the deluxe.

Gvzr reacted to NapalmBrain in Record Store Day 2018
RSD was awesome for me, I've been on both sides of the counter but this was my first experience managing a record store for RSD. We gave out donuts and coffee for the morning crowd, had local artists perform from open until close. Raffled off concert tickets, new cds, new and used LPs including a gold copy of the Drive soundtrack, brushes and cleaning fluid, a carrying case for 45s filled with rare 45s, some rare Linda ronstadt records (it's an inside joke unless you have been to my shop, we got a collection containing every Linda Ronstadt record or single on any format including 8 track and also variants on just about every country of release from Japan to Argentina, so we did a test pressing and an import picture sleeve and a picture disc LP for the raffle). It was humbling to see that many people having a great time and buying physical media. Sales were up a sizable amount from the previous year, so I'm beaming with pride. I oversaw all the ordering and spent countless hours prepping and it was well worth all the effort, and my staff was on point the whole time and leading up to the event, I could not have done it without them. I rewarded them with gourmet pizza. I in turn was also rewarded because at the end of the day I was still able to grab the Tim Armstrong, Dessa 7" and The Grant Green Slick set. I did snipe one thing and it was the Sundays but I had the other 2 and I was damned if I was going to miss this one but I paid sticker price. Luckily the other local had a Bert Jansch, so all I missed out on from my list was the Gene Clark and I think I have a line on a leftover. Fantastic experience all and all but I am exhausted.

I always like to do RSD. Love the conversation hanging out with my vinyl buddies.
Its the only time I take out an ENTIRE day just to go to all the shops in town and crate dig.
