Been a huge Gorillaz fan for 16 years now and after spinning this for a week I will officially say Im let down.  I should have known better too after listening to Plastic Beach.  That was the downfall of Gorillaz.  First two LPs are great and I even enjoy G Sides and Demon Days outtakes and The Fall.  This was a surprise to me too because the five singles they released before hand were excellent.  But the rest is garbage.  Sex Murder Party, Money, and Blue are cringe worthy.  The rest is just filler.  Happy I didn’t pre-order this and happy I didn’t grab tickets to their Philly show this summer.  Luckily I got to see gorillaz twice in 2010 and that was enough.  Only thing better than that (goirllaz related) was seeing Deltron 3030 live.  Now that was an experience and they even closed with Clint Eastwood.

Straight up, Fush Yu Mang is an awesome fast, fun, catchy as heck album.  Still gets me pumped to lsiten to it.  Remember getting it when it first came out at the prime age of 13.  And I remember getting Astro Lounge when it first came out and was like WTF..this is the same band?  But then that record turned out to be awesome even though it was way more poppy.  Smash Mouth's two first albums were fantastic.  No one remembers that.

Ive seen PJ 5 times and let me tell you its worth every penny.  I was on the floor 3 times too.

mine showed up today too.  this couldnt have been released any better.  no stupid three month away pre-order.  Just hey this is ready to order and ship immediately.  

I've probably been to starland 40+ times in the last 10 years. Not so much recently as I've grown out of shows, but I agree with the complaints. Big shows are over sold, but to be honest I don't think tomorrow's will be. Armor is popular but if it's not sold out yet then it won't be. The parking lot is a disaster and you must leave a song or two early to not sit in an hour of traffic. Anyways, can't wait for the show tomorrow. Haven't seen armor for 3 years since they placed NYC farewell show. Off to the fall of Troy tonight!
