Max, yes, I'll post a photo of the Monster Movie, too later this weekend. Pretty cool pour as well. Getting ready to clean/listen to both re: sound quality. I've been really fortunate with these handpours. Who knows, maybe the Closeness will blow my socks off? Offer still up for now...
The BMJ colorway is surprisingly fugly, puke-poop brown and blue half:half Been lucky on the half and halfs, too re: sound quality. No 7" yet, but RG put a note in there in addition to the social media alerts that UPC mucked the order and not everyone is getting the full boat right away.
Who cares what they sound like @Monastic_mike ? lol (thanks Schlebs)

They pictures are still a little blurry for some reason but whatever...
I am thrilled with my new media console. It was built by a guy named Adam (www.karmadeefa.com). If you live in TN and need a record shelf or any custom furniture you should 100% hit him up. I also posted a few other angles of my living (record) room as well as my main storage unit
This is my main record shelf which was given to me by my grandmother.

My new turntable arrived today, could not be happier with how it sounds and the cart isn't even close to broken in. BIG shout out to Soundstage Direct for being so rad and easy to work with. Setting this up took 10 minutes.

It was way closer than I wanted it to be, and that was an absolute roller coaster through the entire week. After the first 2 days and you picking up Berube I thought that this was going to be a walk in the park, but boy was I wrong. Your 3 SH goals were just unreal, don't think I have ever gotten more than 1 per week. And then Oshie getting the hattrick on Sunday..
And to end it all, I almost had a heart attack, seeing how I picked up Darling because he has been great in his last 5 starts and I figured that COL would be an easy win for the Hawks so I could secure all goalie cats. After he let in 2 goals in the first period, I totally panicked and had to stay up until 3AM to watch the game because I thought that that was it. Picking him up almost cost me.
Kudos to Ian for beating Chris, seeing how the regular season went I was 100% that he was going to steamroll each and everyone of us. I would write an angry letter to Dubnyk if I were you, Chris. Guy really let you down the last 2 weeks..

Hey, I'm not sure about the DPD one - I had the usual Royal Mail options for the UK. But yeah, they ship stuff over here before sending it on - I presume it's in the UK due to the postage options available, so hopefully import fees shouldn't be a worry.

Your description is spot on.
I would add that I feel that this really is mostly a document of love, all through the album you get the feeling that those songs are addressed to Geneviève, and only her. So to see and hear someone handle grief in such a way is truly inspiring. The tone is never an accusing one and there is no wallowing in self-pity. And we all know that Phil has such an incredible way with words and imagery, and this certainly is no different.
The vocals are pretty much non stop though, there are no instrumental parts in between where you can sort of catch your breath, so I can understand that this might be a hard listen for some people. Hope this makes sense.

On a instrumental level if you haven't checked any of the preview tracks out the album is pretty much all stripped back acoustic guitars with occasional keys and some very scaled back fuzz on the penultimate track. As others have stated the lyrics are brutally honest and mostly focus around his wife and the horrendous toll it has taken on him and how her death has impacted even the day to day routines of life. Whilst the album is uncompromisingly personal he taps into so many things that anyone who has experienced grief will understand it's hard not to be moved. I'm not going to lie I cried pretty hard at certain points.
In my opinion this album is brilliant, it's an emotionally grueling listen but it's a really beautiful sincere exploration of the senselessness of death and grief.
Pro-tip: Have some ice-cream/beer/cat or dog to play with on standby as a pick me up afterwards

Bis aufs Messer record store from Germany assured me that they are going to get copies of it. They are the only ones I know of in the EU/UK carrying Pw elverum stuff, and I also got my copy of Sauna and the Microphones reissues from them.
If you ask them they should even be able to order other stuff from Phil for you as well. Just a heads up.
