I've been in touch with Ross on this one and he said the band is on board and they are all getting compensated for this release. Even Tyson's family is receiving a check. 
 
A few members of the band posted about the release and seem to be pretty excited about it.
 
We can all have our own opinions about Ross and the label but let's try and get our facts straight before we start assuming something.

Not always, but usually merchnow will specify if it's a preorder and more often than not the stock won't update quantities if it isn't in hand. I've checked several times with preorders  and it always lets you keep 1000 in your cart but if they are in hand they usually are ready to ship. Not 100% sure though.

I love this show. I love the music. But I'd never listen to it outside watching the show. However, this is one of the few pressings revovling around a show that I can say "OK that's pretty damn cool". First off, Sub Pop does no wrong. Secondly, that pricing is great. Thirdly, having a regular option and a deluxe option is awesome. You can get all of it for under $30, or go wild with the deluxe, instead of most other labels where they make you shell out an arm and a leg for just your one option of deluxe. This show has a huge cult following so I can see the appeal. You buy it and listen to it, good for you. You buy it and shelf it, OK, fine. Seriously though, that pricing is great so (even though I'm not buying it) no one should complain about it. That's a great release in all aspects.

Like a kid with veggies, I can accept that politics are a necessary evil to endure and swallow down from time to time... but I'd still prefer them not touching anything else on my plate.  I've never been big on modern political events seeping into my music, personally: I find that I prefer music to be something I can enjoy as an escape from whatever is trending on Facebook or being buzzed about at work.  But if there's anything good to come out of the hoopla that is Trump's intention to take office at the end of this week, it's something new from United Nations.
 
 
What's the teaser represent?  A single?  A contribution for a TRL-fueled Anti-Trump compilation?  A new EP?  A full length on the horizon?  The Next Four Years was 2-3 years ago – are we due for another official release?  It's all as murky and unclear as the nation's future.  But whatever it is, it'll probably be the only thing to look forward to reading about on Friday.

Same. I bought every CD from
every band I liked. I even remember the cool little lyric booklet included underneath the jewel case for TAOM when it released. The art direction for this album especially was rad. 

I've been bugging EVR about a vinyl pressing for the self titled album for so long. It really might be my favorite album of theirs next to TAOM. "Jabberwocky" and "Bad Days" are my favorite songs  by them. I hope they press it.

So.. I just finished listening to the demo tapes for these songs and it's insane how different and great all these songs sound. Studio and demo versions. The demo tapes definitely have even more of a raw Radiohead esque vibe. If anyone is interested in hearing them DM and for the MP3's. Definitely one of my albums of the year by far.
