I’ll be getting posters this Friday and will then ship out the first batch of sets. Since I do not yet have the first round of items shipped, I don’t want to take any more orders. So give me a minute to get the posters, process the first round, and then I’ll make a bunch more available. In other words, I WILL NOT be taking orders wed. night. Stay tuned. It will all work out. I have next week off from work so hopefully this fiasco/clusterfuck/whatever-you-wanna-call-it will be all wrapped up soon.

By the way, I am going to insist that those who have successfully purchased stay out of subsequent rounds as it relates to specific records. I think we all get it. Ok to order a different record second time around, but I will not, for example, ship a second Electra record to someone who already successfully purchased the same first time around. Let’s all play nice.

"Essentially - I don't know what Mightier Than Sword was given as a cost - I don't know how they chose their prices - but if we matched their prices, and we may have been given different costs, but if we matched the prices they did, it would not work. To do an LP and three 7"s through a major label license is very expensive. If I was in charge of the layout, I wouldn't have done it that way because of the price - they're essentially charging you for four separate pieces. I completely see why the layout was chosen this way because of how those 7" songs were released when the CD originally came out, though, so the colored 7"s make sense, it's just very costly. The jacket by itself is a custom jacket; there's a special cut made for this jacket, it's something we had to get made specifically for this release. On top of that, the jacket is actually made in two parts so there are a ton of steps in putting it together because it has to be cut and glued. I think what some people are missing as to why this costs so much, aside from the major label license, is that a lot of this product is made in America. It's not like when you make running shoes in China. It's made in the USA so it costs a little more."
 
So here is a full explanation of why it costs so much. I get that maybe it could cost less....like $40 minimum, which is what RJ was selling it for, and look what happened to him. Plus SRC is giving a 10% discount to those who had tried to get this before. So I think everyone just needs to stop bitching about the price. I get that gradually higher prices lull us into complacency with paying more for records, but in this case I would like to think the price tag is pretty much justified. There is a lot of money and effort going into producing this at the highest possible quality, so I think it's about time we get over the price. Either you are down to drop that kind of cash on it or your not. The end.

well, to clarify first, I am not a social worker, and I do not have a social worker background or education, but my job basically entails all of it.  it really depends on the young adult.  through the final couple months of the program before graduating, we focused on his newborn, or soon-to-be newborn, and that he's doing this all for his child.  that was his driving motivator to getting everything he ended up getting.  i dont know if that was the right way to go about it, again, my job is mostly focused on career services, getting employed, and staying employed, but any barriers that come up before/during/after employment that he may need assistance with, referrals to other local, state, federal programs/assistance, I help out.

Greetings from Europe, tapes went up around 00-1am, so I'm glad my friend was still up even though not the wisest move considering the daily obligations he had coming up. We had a deal we would look out for each other in the case these went up and one wouldn't be able to order SO in this case some level of insomnia turned out to be positive thing.
Ok still confusing but the point is, it's great to have a friend who also shares the love for Converge and is not  an selfish asshole. It would be super easy to make a profit from that extra copy (eg. one got sold for 25usd on discogs just today).yes offtopic, carrying on!

Universal finally got back to me.  The minimum quantity is 1000.  So I am getting all the paperwork sent in and will try to get approval for this. 

I'm somewhat amused how people have the gall to tell other people how many they should buy, what they should or shouldn't do with their own records, and what they should sell them for.
 
There's no goddamn universal system of trading or collecting vinyl records. There is no "fair" for everyone. It's a free for all. And I'm not saying that I like it, I'm saying that because it's reality. The price of a record is worth what people will pay. 
 
If the dude wants all 3 records numbered in a row, he can keep them. If he doesn't want to sell them, he doesn't have to. If he wants to sell all 3 of them on ebay at 4 times what he paid, he's allowed to. I don't understand why that's so hard for so many people on here to understand. And to have this attitude that people are assholes because they're doing whatever they want with what they own and paid for is just ridiculous.
