  1. House of Leaves is daunting to say the least, but it has kept my interest so far. Kerouac is the complete opposite; simple writing, quick read, but his books speak to that part of me that could go Thoreau on everyone's ass. https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/10c078b0-d573-40e2-b3ad-6c041770bac2
  2. For $100 go AT or something used. Crosley goes on the no-fly list
  3. I post mostly photos from around Boston, MA (walking my dog around the city), but a fair amount of vinyl and show photos make it in there https://www.instagram.com/adecarolis/
  4. I usually have multiple books going over long periods of time... it doesn't make for the most cohesive reading experience but here's what I'm into now: House of Leaves - Mark Danielewski (wild book) American Psycho - Bret Easton Ellis Dharma Bums - Jack Kerouac
  5. Here's my take for the past month or so: Piebald - We Are The Only Friends We Have [Transparent Green] (white whale, been looking for a while) Hop Along, Queen Ansleis - Freshman Year ($15 whim purchase) Lifted Bells - S/T [half black/half bronze-mix] Lifted Bells - Lights Out [trash brown (random colors)] Elliott Smith - X/O [RP] The Album Leaf - One Day I'll Be On Time [pink & white burst, RP] The Album Leaf - An Orchestrated Rise to Fall [blue & yellow burst, RP] This Will Destroy You - Another Language Ricky Eat Acid - Talk To You Soon The Weakerthans - Reconstruction Site
  6. Lots of good suggestions so far - The Arboretum in Jamacia Plain (southwest part of the city) is great, and assuming it's nice it can be fun to just wander around the trails. They also have a small Japanese Bonsai garden if thousand year old mini-trees are your thing. As a previous poster mentioned the Aquarium is fun (but quick), and they have all sorts of boat tours, whale watches, etc. that leave from that same area. Also, as cheesy as they may be, the ghost tours around the North End and Downtown are actually quite entertaining for the kids and educational for the older folk. And there is always Top of the Hub, an overpriced but pretty tasty restaurant on the top floor of the Prudential Center, with 360-degree views of the city (best at night); during the day you can walk the observation deck just one floor below for unobstructed views/photo ops. Lastly, if the weather cooperates it can be great to go out on the Harbor Island Ferry, specifically George's Island is cool because it has an old Civil War fort (Fort Warren) that you can explore as much as you want. Can throw some restaurant suggestions your way as well if you want.
  7. Go with the Hot Green press if you can. I've heard rumor that the BSM came with a lot of noise, but can attest that the Hot Green press sounds great, Good luck!
  8. Really? I beat it casually playing over 2 or 3 weeks, I actually wished it was longer. I'm definitely looking forward to Lost Legacy but need a break from that style of game before I pick it up; the somewhat restricted, linear gameplay just irks me after playing so many open-world games.
  9. I actually just broke out my old SNES and started playing The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past; that game will forever hold up. Prior to that I came off a loooong Skyrim stint followed by Uncharted 4 (which was amazing). I welcome the 16-bit for a nice break.
  10. I've got high hopes for this album based on the single, and +1 on $21 shipped being a more than fair price
  11. I am looking to grab a copy of Groundislava's sophomore LP "Feel Me." I'm willing to trade (tradelist below) or pay well for any copies out there that need a warm loving home. https://www.discogs.com/user/bluethumb/collection
  12. Hey dude, after thinking about it a bit more, I'll take that REA LP if you can do $25. I have a buddy who can try cleaning it for me but otherwise it's a flop, thoughts?

  13. Not that this forum isn't already riddled with REA posts, but I just discovered Ricky Eat Acid and I'm looking for any and all of his vinyl you want to get rid of. DM me if interested, I'd rather trade but will pay fairly. Tradelist below: https://www.discogs.com/user/bluethumb/collection
