Hobbes got a reaction from Multiverse in PO NOW: Yu Yu Hakusho 25th Anniversary Singles Box Set
The music in this was phenomenal. I wish they just threw the songs on a 12 inch

Guys let it go, someone made a mistake and you're going to get them fired. They gave out a discount code they didn't even have to do that.

I feel like Sister Wives shouldn't be underestimated.

Hobbes got a reaction from shawnayala90 in Out Now: Tigers Jaw- spin
Any one else prefer Two Worlds over the rest of their material? I think that's the minority opinion but man I love that album.
I really enjoyed the Charmer songs they played live prior to its release but once I heard the recorded stuff, it didn't do much for me. I'll miss Adam on this

The last LP bored the shit out of me but I always have time for Tigers Jaw.

So there are songs other than piano ballads? The few I've heard so far have all been ballads and I was wondering if it would have the diversity of Honeybear.

If he focused on listening to the bands he signed instead of buying personalized packaging tape this might not have happened!

I like all the assholes posting their copies of the OST for $110-$170 when they are still available on the merch site. Go get fucked, you cowards.

Actually I read those posts, and he does donate to the artist's. He didn't use that as an excuse to not to get licenses. He stated that to show he wasn't doing it as a cash grab, and he does have two licensed albums coming out. He started this all on Nintendo Age stating he couldn't get licenses, and at the time he was seeking the artists contact info.
But obviously I'm not going to convince you, and you're not going to do the research to back up your claims so I'll not bother continuing posting responses.

all the people selling their whirr and shit aren't really, they're just saying that on an internet message board for e-respect

Hobbes reacted to TheGhostOfRandySavage in WHIRR - Sway LP (out on 9/23) and Pipe Dreams Redux
To play devil's advocate here for a minute... Yeah, what they said is shitty, but isn't everyone entitled to their own opinion and able to say whatever they want?
What about all these people saying they want the guys in Whirr to die or be horribly injured? Are they not also in the wrong? If they're entitled to that opinion, why aren't Whirr entitled to theirs?
Again, just playing devil's advocate. I still think what they did was shitty and won't support them, but they had every right to say it.

This is an interesting turn of events, is this the first time a band has been dropped over twitter comments? Their actions last night were very disappointing to me. I own almost 100% discography from this band, I once traveled over 3 hours round trip to see them perform.I've invested dozens maybe even hundreds of listening hours to their music and Nick's other side projects. But I would have a hard time supporting this band in the future without some kind of public apology, I seriously hope the dude gets a change of heart and learns something from this experience. He is a talented musician and it would be a shame to waste it on pride and a tough asshole internet persona. The internet really has changed the way we interact with the music scene and listen to music. Transparency has altered everything, last night was truly disgusting but there has been so many examples of poor behavior by musicians through the years, there just wasn't always the internet to generate a platform of discussion. I mean Eric Clapton publically declared that England should deport all the blacks on stage at a concert, 3 out of 4 Beatles (not Ringo) beat their wives, Miles Davis was another woman abuser and you never hear "I really love Kind Of Blue, but I just can't listen to it without seperating how he treated women". Some other food for thought, the lead singer of Nothing stabbed a guy to death and it's more concerning to some of you that the bassist made a transphobic tweet (both actions are gross, but im on the side of ending another human's life is worse than degrading another human). I'm not trying to support the actions of nick or this band, and as someone with several trans friends I am seriously bummed by their actions. I wouldn't condemn anyone for not wishing to continue supporting this band, but I really don't understand if you connected with their music why you couldn't separate artist from art at least eventually. I own music from all 3 examples of shitty humans who make good music, doesn't make me a womanizer or a racist just like listening to Whirr doesn't make me transphobic but I'm not rushing to line their pockets from this point forward.
