They're coming to Miami Beach for the GroundUP Music Festival.

I didn't spend the $200+ dollars for all 3 days but I got a ticket for Friday, Feb. 10th.
Esperanza Spalding, Banda Magda, Bill Laurence, forq, Snarky Puppy and some other acts are playing that night!

I asked them a while back on instagram if they will be selling any vinyl and they told me, "all of them."
If I can I'll pick up a copy for you, I'll keep you posted.  (I wouldn't be surprised if you can only buy one copy per album per person.)

I already tweeted them 5 times. I saw them retweet someone else so I know they are online. I guess they just don't care about their customers. Really disappointing. They don't charge until it ships so I guess I'll keep my order for now, but I'm going to be emailing them every day until I hear back.

I haven't gotten shipping notification yet but I ordered over 30 minutes ago.... has anyone else gotten shipping info? I'm thinking I give them another 15 minutes before I send another email to their Customer Service and complain.

My favorite band hasn't started recording their latest album, but that hasn't stopped the label from putting up pre-orders. Since I have to keep my collection complete I went ahead and ordered the mega bundle with the tour meet and greet so I can also get them signed. 
 
Even though the realease date is a little over a year from now I am sure the record will have delays and won't be available for months after the street date. The record will be warped (actually my record player is garbage so the slightest defect will greatly affect sound quality) so I will need to send it back at least three times costing the label postage each time. I will also complain that the color isn't identical to the mockup. 
 
When I finally get a playable copy I will get a parking ticket and need to sell the record. 
 
But im a huge fan of the band and label and will support them no matter what.

I ended up in Austin for 3 days but most of that was work, so I only had brief pockets of time to do fun stuff. I visited 3 different record stores and I also got to hang out at Austin City Limits and eat free food, watch live music, and browse their photo gallery upstairs.
  The first place I went was Waterloo Records!     I loved this shop. It was right in the heart of the action in town, big, well organized, and there were a lot of sale bins and used new arrivals. I picked up a shirt and two records here:      Defiance, Ohio - Great Depression LP used for $8 Busman's Holiday - A Long Goodbye LP (VIP version) only $10 brand new   I didn't notice the inflated prices like mentioned earlier but I was mostly looking in their used and sale sections. I did notice that there were a ton of teen kids there looking for records and it was pretty packed in general.   I also went to End of an Ear.     It's in a less busy part of town by the highway. I loved this shop too. Lots of records and many good prices. If I lived in Austin, this would be my go to place. Less busy than Waterloo. I got two shirts and two records:     Damien Jurado - Maraqopa LP new, it was only $13 so I grabbed it Talking Heads - Little Creatures LP used for $8, not my favorite record by them but I dig it and have been meaning to pick up a cheap used copy   I also went to Encore Records but, to be honest, I didn't like it very much. It was located in a sketchy abandoned part of town (this was around 8-9pm at night on a Saturday). I didn't find anything I would want to pick up. A lot of the used records were shredded dollar bin style LPs (mixed in there was better used stock). Some of the prices I saw were average to high. If I dropped the ball on Encore, let me know and I'd be glad to check it out again if I find myself back in Austin.   Great trip overall. Food wise, we went to Lamberts one night for dinner. Their short rib was awesome. We went to Juan in a Million for breakfast and it was alright. I think I'm already spoiled with Mexican food as a half-Mexican person who lives in Los Angeles. The capitol building was fun to walk around. Cool city.

I think this is my 3rd year and I finally did it !

May I suggest having all the money in by 3 EST tomorrow? That will give you more time to find other alternates if some don't pay in time. 6 EST is cutting it close, if there's any issues.

I will send out messages tomorrow once all spots are filled. My spreadsheet is telling me there are 6 spots left. I will review in the morning though when I'm not exhausted.
 
If this fills up overnight, it will obviously go to whoever commented here first. Once the 100 are filled, anyone else that might want to enter can go into a "waiting list" and I'll message them if some people don't pay.

His instagram did say to look for something on 2/4/17, I'm guessing it's the single/video he teased back in the Fall. Unless he's going full on T Rez and dropping the album out of nowhere, but I kinda doubt it. 
 
Wet Paint

My ex-girlfriend and I bought a record player together.  She had a collection of 80s and 90s stuff, and I only picked up about 4-5 records before we broke up.  She got the record player in the "divorce."
Fast-forward a few months.  I've got a new girlfriend, but we're long distance.  She buys me a record player as a birthday present after I mention having a couple of records but nothing to play them on.  It was the most thoughtful gift I'd ever received, and I started going crazy buying records.  It's been a while since I counted, but I bet I have over 500 LPs and probably 400-500 7"s.
Also, now she's my wife.  So, win-win, really!

Straight up. It's a good, catchy pop album.

Corner dings meh, full on bends are disappointing but I probably would just complain for a second and get over it. I get why people get mad, but I learned long ago to stop demanding perfection for an imperfect medium
